Acrobat DC Bug Leaking Handles
I'm using windows 7 and 10 and Acrobat DC
Bug: Windows task manager (Details tab, with "Handles" column enabled" ) reports that the Acrobat process is now using more than 1 million handles.
I just updated to DC 21.005.20048 after discovering the million handles.
I am trying to reproduce the handle leak by starting from a fresh session of Acrobat. I usually have many big PDFs open and CTRL+F search them regularly (clicking forwards/next and backwards/previous)
Here is a medium sized one from archive.org
https://archive.org/download/n08ontariosession31onta/n08ontariosession31onta.pdf
When I search it for common words (the, if, ...) the handle count does increase. Sometimes I can get it to increase by 2 every second without end. When I minimize Acrobat the handle count just keeps increasing.
But, sometimes it goes back down. The "sometimes" makes it hard to figure out what the real cause is.
When I resize the window big/small/repeat and it has those buttons on the right side (Action Wizard, Scan and OCR...) the handle count increases.
If I close the PDF but leave acrobat open the handle count remains large.
Whatever is the root cause, please debug Acrobat's handle leak. It eventually crashes. A million handles is very extreme.

Disabling Preferences>Page Display>Use Page Cache appears to prevent the handles from growing to a million (so far), so the problem could be in the page cache.

Using a different laptop with Acrobat 2017 011 30197 (latest), the handle # keeps growing. A screenshot of the task manager (details tab) with handles column is attached. Acrobat was opened and minimized for an hour or so.
6 pdfs are open. I minimize acrobat and move the mouse over the preview windows (back and forth) in the task bar and the cpu and handles of Acrobat go up. Sometimes they stop increasing, but sometimes I leave it minimized and the handle # just keeps increasing forever and the CPU is constantly in use at 2% or so.
