Complaint about Adobe website and my subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro purchased on 04/05/2021 from the Adobe website
To whom it may concern,
On 04/05/2021 I purchased a subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro from the Adobe website. I was not aware at the time that I could purchase a standalone version of Acrobat (e.g. Acrobat Pro 2020). If I had known, I would have purchased Acrobat 2020 initially instead of a subscription products. Now it will cost another $500-800 to purchase Acrobat 2020.
I believe the Adobe website is dishonest in its presentations of plans and pricing of products for consumers.
I have attached screenshots of examples of the webpages I am referring to. In essence, I believe the Adobe website does not present important information about its product plans and pricing that a consumer would reasonably expect to be included.
I understand that consumers have rights that are protected under the Australian Consumer law.
I contacted Adobe support via the website however was not able to resolve the issue. Adobe customer support scheduled a phone call, however at the scheduled time no-one called.
I would like Adobe to review its website. In the presentation of Adobe Acrobat products for example, it should be clear for consumers the various product and payment options available. I believe the website is currently a dishonest presentation of products and plans and pricing.
If I do not hear from you within 10 working days, I will lodge a formal complaint with WA Department of Commerce and/or report my issue to the ACCC.
You can contact me about this complaint via email or call me during business hours.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. There is no complaints process for Adobe customers as far as I am aware, so I am submitting this formal complaint here, as advised by Adobe customer support team.
