“Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened” function doesn't work
This problem was confirmed in Acrobat Pro 2024.001.20604 64-bit for Windows 10 Pro (22H2).
I found a bug that the comment pane is not displayed automatically even with the following settings.
Preferences > Commenting > “Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened” is checked
The conditions under which this fault occurs are:
For PDF files with comments on page 51 or later
However, if a PDF has at least one comment before page 50, the comments pane is automatically displayed.

I found this symptom in this version, however I don't know other version.
Add information, I have heard the same symptom in my acquaintance's environment.His environment is as follows:
- Windows 10 Pro 22H2
- Acrobat Pro 2023.003.20284 (32bit)> - Is this happening with all the files or a single file with the condition which you mentioned ...
If you meet the conditions I told you, all PDF files will fail.
I recorded the operation that caused the problem and will send it.Story:
01. Open the sample PDF.
02. Check the preferences and make sure the “Show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened” option is on.
03. Verify that the current number of comments is 0.
04. Write a comment on page 51.
05. Save and close the PDF then open it again.
Result: The Comments pane does not appear automatically. (Malfunction)06. Next, write a comment on page 10.
07. Save and close the PDF then open it again.
Result: This time, the Comments pane was automatically displayed. (Normal operation)08. Then delete the comment on page 10 (There is still a comment on page 51).
09. Save and close the PDF then open it again.
Result: This time, the Comments pane does not appear automatically again... (Malfunction) -

- Is this a new issue you're facing with Acrobat Pro 2024.001.20604 and was it working for you before updating?
- Is this happening with all the files or a single file with the condition which you mentioned . We tried at our end and was not able to reproduce.
- It would be great if you could share the file with us with which you're facing the issue.
- I Also, request you to please share with us the screenshot of your commenting preferences.
