image import
I spent 45 minutes trying add a simple image to a pdf page. At first, I tried a .tif and it imported with a black background. Then I changed it to .png and tried to import, but I got a "corrupted" error or "file type not supported". So I changed it to a jpeg and got the same error. Then I restarted the software and tried again. It imported the jpeg but all the text and borders that should have been set in stone in the PDF were mysteriously chopped up as if it were a word document with bad formatting. I then had the software check for updates (none) and do an install repair (no change). I literally could have done this in MS Paint in 2 MINUTES. I CANNOT BELIEVE this is a PAID for SUBSCRIPTION software. Even just trying to submit feedback is such an incredibly aggravating design -- you have to make an account, the verification email itself looks like it came from spam with no reference to ADOBE, and if you page away from the initial browser page, you lose the verification code required to verify the email address you just verified by clicking the verification email-- and you have to start all over again just to try and get the code to pop up. What a way to utterly waste my time. Does ADOBE realize there are free PDF alternatives that work better? That MS Paint works better? Even though my institution pays for this software for me, I use alternative software at any opportunity rather than this garbage. Here's an "idea": actually test your software. ADOBE is 90% of the reason why I boycott all subscriptions!
