User Setting - Checkbox to Opt Out of Pop Ups
Pontificating that there must be a "newbie user" segment who needs extra assistance in using Acrobat, I ask that you please remember you have a multitude of Perennial Power Users who don't need the constant hand holding, introductions, or reminders in pop ups. My efficiency is being damaged by the interruptions. While presenting in meetings, these pops ups are unprofessional and actually drove me to choose to default to opening PDFs in Microsoft Word. Yes. The unintended consequence of YOUR programming choice has driven me to use the big bad competitor's application. Please provide an option to opt out of your pop ups. If you prefer to categorize them and allow me choices to opt in and out of groups of pop up types, by all means, provide the options...but please start with one to opt out of ALL of them before you take the time to do that.
