  2. Advise with a window before deleting the checkmarks for files to remove from recent. Too often while I am selectively removing from recent, I exceed some unknown number and all the checkmarks are removed.

  3. When using a custom redaction regular expression, the Redact tool doesn't correctly respect case sensitivity. The following pattern:

    (\b)([A-Z])([A-Za-z]+)(\b)

...should be tagging words that begin with a capital letter, but it instead marks all words in the entire document. Please allow the redaction tool to correctly tag words based on the specified capitalization in the RegEx patterns.

  4. This is clearly a software bug, not an idea.

When I create a brochure in Acrobat DC, it automatically changes the groupings of text boxes, making it difficult to make future modifications. How do I make it retain the text boxes as I built them? It is less of a problem if it separates a text box into two boxes. It is a big problem when it arbitrarily combines two or more text boxes into one.

It occurs randomly. On some brochures that I create, they retain the original structure when I open them again for further editing. On others,…

  5. I’m trying to edit Javascript in an external editor. This has worked for years until just now. I’ve tried Brackets and TextWrangler with the same failure. Acrobat launches the external editor, and waits until the editor process is no longer running. This means that you actually have to quit the editor after saving the document in order to make Acrobat respond to your input again. This is fine, it has always worked in the past. But now when I quit the external editor, Acrobat remains unresponsive because it's waiting for the external editor to close, even though it’s already closed.

  6. When autosave is turned on Acrobat periodically writes .tmp files to the autosave location containing annotations since the last time the file was saved. If Acrobat is forced to quit without saving the open file, upon restart it detects the presence of the .tmp file and offers to restore the changes. At that point that .tmp file is still in the autosave folder.

Immediately after the user accepts that offer, Acrobat deletes the .tmp file and returns an error saying the file cannot be found or read and as a result all changes have been lost.

    This problem has existed…

  7. Hi,

After the recent update, I can no longer add text in the Thai language. The program just insistently freezes and closes whenever I try to add text in Thai. It used to work well in the version before 2021 updates. Please fix it soon.

  9. The font list on Mac Os Acrobat is in the standard font- see screenshot (usually each font name is shown in its style so you understand what it looks like more or less).
On Acrobat on Mac Os in order to see what font looks like you need to apply it to the text in the document - so you literally need to apply 100 fonts to see what they are when looking for the right one.
In short - there is no preview samples of fonts on the list like there is on Acrobat on Windows. I had to…

  10. I am in the middle of doing project during the Chinese New Year holiday. After upgrading the software, it got me into this trouble. The "Add Text" by copy and paste from other source like spreadsheet doesn't work anymore as I used to be doing. After paste, it becomes an image instead of text. See attached screenshot for reference. Can you fix it as soon as possible? I really need this that's why I continue paying for the subscription. Your quick response will be highly appreciated.

  11. There needs to be a simple way to convert text to path. (The utility of this is begin able to use parts of the pdf file in illustrator without having the fonts.) Googling this shows there is demand for the feature. Currently the feature sort of exists in the "flatten transparency" settings, but it does not work correctly if there is no transparent feature in the pdf. The workaround is to add a watermark or other transparent object, THEN edit the flatten settings. Silly workaround for a common enough need. I'd call this a bug, since the flatten options clearly…

  12. Hello , Team ADOBE , The acrobat pro dc should have a feature which can remove watermarks and headers\footers created by other pdf editor , i know its hard but we should have an option to select an object as watermark and remove it from all the pages , we need to manually remove such watermarks from all the pages , if we can set that kind of algorithm than we can choose which thing to remove from all the pages , it would be good , i have tried the adobe preflight too ,but does not work , so…

  13. I do a lot of pdf commenting, and I use a stylus/pen on a touch screen laptop to make this easier. The problem is that once I turn on the highlighter tool, I can't use my finger to scroll through the document, because Acrobat doesn't distinguish between the finger input and the stylus input. So I have to manually switch back and forth between the highlight tool and the arrow tool. Most other touch-capable PDF programs distinguish between finger input and stylus input, allowing you to scroll through the document with your finger and then highlight as needed. Is there…

  14. We get documents form a few of our clients in metric sizes. But we only print in English sizes. "Fit' or "shrink to fit" in the print screen works but it alters the sizes of the text and results in off center paragraphs and blocks of text.
Would be nice if we could just go to a tool that would reposition the images and text to fit on standard English sizes.

An alternate solution might be if we could reflow the text onto blank standard sheets (and resize images with handles) as needed.

  15. In MS word or ppt, if you click 2 hypens -- and then a space, it turns the 2 hyphens into an em dash. In google docs, you have to select substitutions and find the right dash (it's a pain, but you can do it). In Acrobat, I want to insert an em dash and I can't see how to do it, so I'm stuck using 2 hyphens -- and it looks very unprofessional.

  16. Adobe MUST create automatic links generated by the system to open pdf attachments migrating from a WORD document, Presently a pdf attachment from WORD to PDF DOES NOT OPEN IN THE PDF DOCUMENT! This is not business friendly. the customer should not have to learn how to create links for the PDF attachments to open!

  17. It would be nice if there would be a menu available to insert special characters or symbols directly in Adobe, as is available in f.e. Word.
Now, you have to use the ALT code or you need to copy paste the special character from a different application to Adobe.

  19. The fact that there is no format painter on Adobe is insane. Microsoft has it, google has it, it seems like everyone has it except you. why don't you? It would save so much time. Just put the dang thing.
