Bug - Update Footers broken
Unable to "update footers" since update
build 2025.001.2111111
Core part of workflow broken.
Easy to reproduce.
Add a footer to a pdf using acrobat.
Do nothing else to the file.

Get greeted by toast saying thatAdobe Acrobat cannot find any headers or footers in this file. If you see header or footer information, it was not added in Adobe Acrobat and cannot be detected as such.

いつも Acrobat を利用させていただいております。
私は月額サブスクリプション契約者として、日常的に PDF の閲覧・編集・OCR を行っています。しかし、現行バージョンの Acrobat において、以下の点で動作がもたつく場面が多く、業務上のストレスとなっています。
・大容量 PDF の表示やスクロール時の遅延
・検索やページ移動の反応が鈍い
・CPU 使用率が低いまま処理が詰まる（マルチコアを十分に活用していないように見える）
・複雑なレイアウトやデザインの PDF に対する OCR 精度が低く、誤認識が多い私の環境は最新世代のハイエンド CPU（Ryzen 9 9950X3D）、DDR5 メモリ、NVMe SSD を搭載しており、他のアプリケーションでは一切問題がありません。
そのため、Acrobat のパフォーマンスがハードウェア性能を十分に活かし切れていないのではないかと感じています。PDF の仕様上、並列化が難しい部分があることは理解しておりますが、可能な範囲で以下の改善をご検討いただければ幸いです。
・UI 応答性の向上
・描画処理の最適化（GPU 活用の強化など）
・マルチスレッド処理の改善
・大容量 PDF の読み込み高速化
・複雑なレイアウトに対する OCR 精度の向上（特にフォント・段組・装飾要素の認識改善）Acrobat は日常業務に欠かせないツールであり、今後も継続して利用したいと考えております。
ぜひパフォーマンスおよび OCR 精度の改善をご検討いただければと思います。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

Editing - automatically highlights word by word
It's hard to edit text now unlike before, it keeps highlighting word by word not the one you only want to choose, also like date it separate them when you edit it.

Hi! It is somehow really disappointing that ADOBE Acrobat's Free version users have lost all the basic editing ability once available. We have to pay for any of them!

Edits on one page appearing across other pages of a document
When I edit a document, whether it be striking out a word or adding a new paragraph it will past the same actions across multiple pages within my document. Its a bug I cant seem to get rid off. I just want the one area edited not pasting what I am editing across every page of my document. Makes the program unusable.

AutoSave is horrible on macOS — edits persist for days, then are permanently lost
I edited a PDF in Adobe Acrobat on macOS over 10 days.
My changes consistently persisted when I closed and reopened the file, including across app restarts. Because of this, I reasonably assumed the file was being auto-saved or at least checkpointed.However, when I eventually closed the document and selected “Don’t Save”, all edits from the entire period were permanently lost. There was no recovery option, no AutoSave file, and no previous version available.
What’s confusing is that the app does retain edits for days, which strongly suggests they are saved somewhere. There is no indication that these changes…

Upgrade taking too long
I signed up the premium (trial) but it's taking way too long for the app to update/upgrade before I can start editing the documents. This is very inefficient

AI Features
I'm so disapointed in this roll out of AI features. It completely bogs down Acrobat. Every time I go to edit text, something very simple, it has to generate a whole new menu and even ask me if it wants it to create an image, every. single. time.
I've disabled it multiple times and it keeps coming back. You can tell there are new things running in the background tied to the menu, help, and AI Assistant.
Acrobat used to be one of my favorite platforms, I could just about do anything in it. Now I can barely do anything…

De-duplication of pages within a file
It would be really helpful to have a feature that locates duplicate and near-duplicate pages within a file and enables you to delete the duplicate pages. Having the option to ignore bates labels and other items during the search for duplicates would be nice as well.

Horrendously Ridiculous Gawdawful New Design
Your new design is Horrendous. I can't find anything. Why do you shuffle everything around and hide all the most useful tools so no one can find them. Do you delight in making your users crazy? Not to mention terribly inefficient - it takes me 5 times longer to create and edit a document and even then it's not how I want it to appear. I often have to just save and move the file to my old PC and work off my old Adobe Acrobat (in no time it turns out just how I want it!!). Who on earth…

Paste with formatting
Ability to copy content containing formatting like bold and italics, and be able to paste WITH formatting into a PDF.

New Tool Design
Hi,
the new design (at this date: 02.01.2026) makes it very difficult for me to distinguish between the individual functions.
With the help of the colored tools, I could immediately see which function was behind which design. Now without the colors everything looks the same. There are simply too many tools to remember all the differences in the icons.2 votes -
Request for Optional OCR Prompt and Improved Performance When Using the Edit Tool in Acrobat
Dear Adobe Team,
I would like to raise a concern regarding the way Acrobat currently handles scanned sheet music when the Edit tool is selected.
At present, the software automatically performs a full-page scan and applies OCR, which results in the image being divided into multiple fragments. Unfortunately, these fragments are often slightly displaced from their original positions, making the score unusable.
This behaviour is problematic for users who work with scanned musical scores or other documents where precise visual alignment is essential. I kindly suggest that Acrobat be improved in one of the following ways:

Using CTRL + SHIFT + F to Find and Replace Across Multiple PDF Files in a Folder
It would be super awesome if you could use CTRL + Shift + F feature to find and replace words or phrases on multiple PDF's in the same folder. I'm having to go into 400 documents to revise the same thing over and over and it would be nice if it could just be done automatically. Maybe combine it with AI to tell the user that something wont look right with the change and provide examples of what the user would like it to look like. (ex if the new text is larger than the original phrase, it gives suggestions…

In recent versions of Acrobat, highlight annotations no longer have rounded corners. They used to be rounded and were much easier to read. P
Please add an option to choose rounded or sharp corners for highlight annotations.

Constant errors and never works right
I dont know why I continue to pay for a product that never works when I need to edit a PDF

The ability to search and replace the font of specific text thru the entire document would help speed my workflow tremendously.
Find a particular text string and replace the font of that text wherever it finds it in the document. I have to manually select and change every instance of a particular set of medical codes, because when printed the capital "i" looks like a lowercase "L" so scanners misread it. When the document is 90-100 pages this would be much faster if it had this feature like Microsoft Word does.

File names are not completely readable
Allow the entire file name to be visible somewhere on screen. Used to have it above the document frame...now it just ISN'T.
