  1. AI Assistant frequently fails to return an answer

    Hi,

    The Adobe AI Assistant sometimes fails to return an answer. Instead, I get back "This file isn't currently supported. Please try a different file" (first screenshot bellow).

    However, if I retry several times it will eventually succeed (second screenshot below).

    I've also attached the PDF file that is being processed. It was obtained from the S.E.C.'s EDGAR website, after converting the HTML document to PDF.

    I'm running Adobe Acrobat Reader on an Apple MacBook M2 Pro (third screenshot below).

    I actually really love the AI assist. I need to read a multitude of scientific papers and it helps me pull out the key points quickly. However, recently it has been SOOOOO slow and often gives me an error message. I've tried it on multiple different computers, different internets, and different documents. It is really frustrating and slowing down my work. Is there currently something wrong with the system?

  8. Let people choose if they want AI Assistant, and make data privacy clear!

    Not everyone wants to use AI, not everyone wants AI to access their private or confidential documents, and not everyone is comfortable with distracting buttons and popups that interrupt actual work.

    There may be people who "need" AI to understand simple text documents, but these are probably the exact same people who won't be able to make out the mistakes, approximations and outright hallucinations produced by said AI. You should not put these tools out there without making it VERY clear that they're unreliable (of course then, it would be harder to get people to pay for them...)

    That stupid button taking up so much screen real estate for a feature I will never use. I hope someone feels some shame for promoting this trash, which, worse than being useless, is intended to make human cognition itself dependent on silicon valley products. If people want this so badly, why not let them select it from a suite of services for a premium instead of forcing it on every single user of your product?     Stop forcing AI on people when there is no transparency on what data is being collected by Adobe. I've already had issues with the Acrobat browser extension making me vulnerable to targeted advertising when opening sensitive medical documents. Acrobat is made for sharing sensitive information and yet Adobe is forcing one of the most alarming privacy concerns directly into the program! Absolute garbage

    It's not possible to type questions into the AI Assistant dialogue box with single key accelerators turned on. Any single key shortcuts activates the shortcut instead of being entered into the dialogue box.

  14. Stop with the intrusive AI prompts and popups

    If I want to use these features (and I don't) I'll seek them out. Having to click through distracting dialogue boxes every time I open Acrobat is grating. Please stop using your product to advertise your product.

    If it is not going to be removed for whatever reason then users should be able to torment, degrade, belittle, gaslight, and abuse the chatbot until it goes away on its own.   17. AI and printing format

    Keyboard shortcut for the AI assistant is the same as the shortcut for printing (Command + P). Rly annoying. why is there even a shortcut for the AI? And then an additional issue: when printing a PDF through Acrobat, for example a page from a google sheet. If I select the page orientation (landscape or portrait) to print the google sheet on the webpage, then when it generates a PDF through acrobat of that google sheet page, and I go to print that, the page orientation does not match what I selected in the google sheet.   18. Let me use AI Assistant

    I want to use the AI Assistant, and I pay for an Adobe subscription, but for months my Windows Adobe Pro keeps telling me that my account is ineligible for the AI Assistant.

    Please include a button so I can pay to upgrade, rather than just telling me I can't use the AI Assistant.

  19. Increase 500 character limit when asking AI a question.

    The current 500-character limit for asking questions about a document is too restrictive, especially when translation or detailed explanations are required. Increasing this limit to at least 1,200 characters would provide more flexibility. However, why should there be a limit at all? Removing it entirely could ensure users can fully articulate their queries without unnecessary constraints.

  20. AI pop-up can not be closed

    As if it wasn't already rally annoying constantly having the AI pop up popping up, but the pop up today could not be closed, agreed or cancelled. The only way I could get rid of it was to force a shut down of my PC which meant I lost my place in the 5 open documents, each of between 1000 and 3000 pages.
