opacity
Please implement a feature where the text / callout box fill and text opacity can be adjusted independently. There are several instances where I want a translucent box and fully opaque text, but I can't perform this independent action.

Support interactive functions when reviewing/commenting
At the moment from InDesign, when exporting interactive documents, we have Publish Online or Interactive PDFs. Neither of which support reviewing/commenting very well.
When trying to use the commenting tools in Acrobat you cannot select text for replacement in any rollover state textboxes. Uploading interactive documents to the document cloud only supports static pages, InDesign's own review document functionality doesn't support interactivity and Publish Online doesn't support any means of providing feedback - although it does support interactivity.
Come on Adobe! The web has been alive to interactivity since day 0. You are supposed to be the defacto authority on…

Auto resize bounding box to contents for Callout and Text Box comments
When marking up PDFs, some clients want text to be immediately visible "on the page," i.e., in Callouts and Text Boxes vs. added with the less easy to see Insert Text at Cursor or Replace Text functions. Sometimes the text I need to add is just a single comma or hyphen, but the default bounding box size is much larger, and resizing these by hand is time-consuming. I'd like an option to fit bounding boxes to their contents without having to edit box sizes by hand. (Text Boxes autofit if you click and drag with the Text Box tool selected…

Decreasing Reliability of Adobe Software
The reliability of the Adobe software has decreased significantly over the past couple years. A number of times, the program has not kept updated changes I've made to documents, which has caused unnecessary re-dos. And very frequently, the software crashes and stops working. This is especially inconvenient when I'm saving changes; these glitches keep any changes made from being saved.
I've kept the software updated and continue to have issues. Help.

Overriding Adobe Preference of showing comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened
We need a way to automatically hide the Comments pane that pops up on the right-hand side of a PDF with comments without asking users to manually change their Adobe preferences.
I create PDF deliverables for a living and there have been situations where a client wants me to embed documents in a PDF via the Comment Tool, but they don't want the Comment pane to open when their employees or customers open the PDF.
I have attached a screenshot of the Adobe Preference window. The preferences outlined in red are the ones that control the Comment pane pop-up. I…

Exporting selected comments doesn't work - MacOS
After multi-selecting comments (or even selecting a single comment) and then using the "Export Selected to Data File" menu option, the resulting FDF file contains all comments from the original PDF. I'm running Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on MacOS. I've tried reinstalling. Is this a known bug?

Making it possible to change thickness of underlining in Acrobat Reader DC under Windows
Unfortunately, I cannot change the thickness of my added underlined or strike-through. The symbol for different thickness in the toolbar is greyed out.
I also would appreciate two different symbols for underlining; one for straight lines, the other for squiggly lines.
I used FoxitReader before and must say that the way to place comments seems to me better solved there. Maybe something similar could be added in Adobe Acrobat Reader?5 votes -
Setting feature for portrait or landscape as DEFAULT OPENING FEATURE
Please create a feature where you can change settings so you can choose your default for opening and viewing documents. This way you have the option of Landscape or Portrait. Currently, you only have the option of Portrait, then you must edit to Landscape. It causes projects to be cut apart, and you're unable to move pieces from one page to another. This would be the best alternative, especially when working with Excel spreadsheets. Thank you so much for taking the time to look over my suggestion. I hope you find it useful as well.

Comment Panel Floating
The Comment Panel was much better in Adobe Acrobat 9, that is the whole reason I didn't want to go to DC, but now I don't have a choice because of security. I think you should be able to move the panel to the bottom like in Adobe Acrobat 9. Also this version, as soon as you click on it, it takes up 2" for one comment, that's just crazy. Also, the filter function doesn't hold, I have in the past in Acrobat 9, selected to show None so only my comments that haven't finished show up. But in this…

Adobe Annotation - Comments Highlighter
Hi Team,
Greetings !
This request is with respect to E-000596525 (PDF Annotation - Comments Highlighter).
We have a request from the client to provide hightlighter for the comments provided by the user against the document content. We have raised a technical support call and got clarified that the functionality is currently unavailable.
It would be highly appreciable if you could provide us with the new feature.

Export just selected/filtered comments
The filters on the Commenting feature work well to filter by e.g. author, checked status, colour.
What we need is to be able to export just the filtered results.
What happens is that Acrobat ignores the filter, even when choosing 'Export just the selected comments' and exports the entire list to a data file. This is after filtering AND selecting all the comments that have been filtered. Somewhat illogical behaviour.2 votes -
Edit default text (color, font, size) for Measure Tool
The measurement tool lacks any ability to change the text font, size, and color for measurement labels, the default is not sufficient especially because it tends to glitch and turn from an Ariel type font to a very spaced out Courier font which is not convenient for measuring small distances, the perimeter and area measure tool should also enable text callouts.

Acrobat Freeform Highlighter for Scanned Document in Full-screen
The freeform highlighter tool is accessible in commenting mode and normal view mode, but disappears in full-screen and reverts to a text-only highlighter. For large scanned documents, it would be great if the existing freeform highlighter tool could be used in full-screen mode via the existing Shift-U shortcut.
