  2. Auto Generate Cell IDs adds a space to the end of IDs which are not long enough, and appears to be including internal spaces. Since cell IDs cannot contain spaces, those headers are not announced by AT when reading the table. (OS: Windows 10 on desktop PC; Acrobat Pro DC 20.012.20043; latest as of 8/30/2020).

The attached file has two identical tables (Word 365, Saved as PDF) with auto-generated header IDs. With the first, NVDA (v 2019.2) only announces the headers for Vegetable, Potassium, and Brocolli. All other headers have spaces at the end, and the IDs for % DV…

  4. We noticed that your PDF viewer doesn't have AccSupp ActualText support. This means that copy-pasting technical text such as shellscripts and programming code, does not work in your PDF viewer and this greatly restrains the use of your whole program.

The replacement text is said to be supported, according to the file "Document management - Portable document format - Part 1: PDF 1.7" both on Table 323, page 559, and on section 14.9.4, page 615. Available here: https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/pdf/PDF32000_2008.pdf.

But according to the tests made using PDFs produced by pdflatex using the package accsupp, the replacement text support seems to…

    Hi,
I understand your concern here. I have shared this with the higher management. We currently do not have any plan to implement it but we have kept it in our radar and will pick up in future,

Check the latest features in Acrobat Pro DC by keeping the software on latest version.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  8. Please provide an option to keep a stamp selected to use multiple times in a row. For instance, I use stamps to place checkmarks on documents and I have to click the stamp each time I want to place it as it deselects after every placement.

    Hi,
You can achieve this by pin tool option.
    Please find the steps:
    -Open any PDF
    -Load comment app
-Click on Stamp tool icon and then click on any stamp —> Stamp gets selected
-Click on the pin tool icon(see the attached snapshot for reference)
-Now apply stamp, it will not get deselected.

Kindly let us know if it helps or you need more info.

    Regards,
    Arvind Yadav

  9. You have absolutely no control over the choice of menu design, forced to look at a big blue “share” button, a feedback button and a question mark. When operating in half screen the frequently used menu items I have chosen are hidden, because you think I want to share, learn or send feedback. Give me the ability to remove and take charge of my workspace environment.

With our latest release on 11th Dec. 2018, the issue reported by you has been addressed.
If your product has not already been updated, to get the latest product update, click on the menu Help —> Check for updates in the product.

You can now customize it by right clicking on the Toolbar and selecting appropriate option.

  10. New Acrobat Pro DC version no longer allows dragging the pdf icon from the top bar in directly into email.

Instead one must hit "share", WAIT..., then click "Send as attachment" then click "continue" to let it use the native email, then WAIT, then drag the pdf from that newly created email into the intended email.

  11. For a long time now I have noticed a peculiar bug that only sometimes rears its head. By now I'm pretty sure it is a bug and not something I'm doing wrong, as I've had this same issue appear in multiple AcroForms that I have made, all with different content.

What happens is illustrated well with the screen recording I made, see the attached file.

    How to reproduce:

    • This is with an AcroForm drop-down field that has about 200 entries.
    • This drop-down field has the options "Allow user to enter custom text" and "Commit selected value immediately" selected.…

  12. The latest version of InDesign exports PDF's in which most all the tagged content is in an Xobject container, making accessibility remediation MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. This is a huge step backwards. Attached are two examples, from the same client, annual reports- last year's was fine, this year's has all the xobject issues. Please advise, help, fix, something!!!

  13. It's a shame, that Acrobat makes it such a harmfully experience to lower the filesize of a pdf (coming from photoshop Artboard to PDF Export), that actually does nothing!

Filesize goes from 18 MB to 17,5 MB or something (if it even works without errors you can't debug because you can't do something about it).

In the end I have to buy and use third party tools like pdf squeezer (for mac).
One click, and it shrinks the 18 MB to 600 KB! Without lowering the quality!!

Adobe please work on your UI for Acrobat Pro.
    Or even better: Work…

  14. use of Acrobat DC must be seamless across operating systems, browsers, and devices. seamless interoperability = efficiency. Proprietary in-fighting between apple, microsoft, and google needs to stop. Why not work together for the benefit of all?The business models need to change. For example, "accessibility" of apps needs to be independent of browser, OS, and device.

  15. In form edit mode, using the Select Object Tool. When selecting a column of form objects (e.g. check boxes) ALL non form objects are selected, and the tool reverts to the Edit too. This renders it impossible to perform actions on the form objects alone

In the file, try and select a column of checkboxes to match the behaviour.

This worked fine before the last update, currently on 2019.021.20047

I would suggest removing the Edit tool from the Form Edit mode, it is not necessary. It is available in the PDF Edit mode.

When I want to work on form…

  16. When I used to create PDFs from Word documents in Windows 7, the PDF would automatically inherit the Title, Subject, and Author properties.

In Windows 10/Acrobat Pro 17 this is no longer the case. All of these fields are blank.

I don't know if this is a change in Acrobat or Word (Office 365), but it's a major pain to set these properties manually every time.

  17. It would be great if from within Adobe Document Cloud we could make copies of PDFs. Currently the workflow that was described to me from tech support was that I would have to download the PDF then upload another copy.

  18. We can use "Enter" to go to the next result when finding text in a PDF, but there is no keyboard shortcut to go to the previous result. I expected "Shift+Enter" to go the previous result, following the convention of using "Shift+<Key>" to navigate backwards, but instead, "Shift+Enter" just goes to the next result.

  19. None of the fixes or downloads work to enable the single-click email like there was in the older versions. The link in https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/send-email-attachment.html requires too many permissions and my company won't let me download it. PLEASE JUST CHANGE IT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS!

    Hi,
Could you please use the following registry file to switch to older email experience:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown]
    “bSendMailShareRedirection”=dword:00000000

I hope this helps, please let me know if you face any issues.

    Regards,
    Arvind

  20. under MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 (18E226) in Acrobat Pro version 2019.010.20098 when we try to perform run a preflight fix (generate 2 mm bleed), Acrobat can't do it telling there was an error but not showing what error. The same fix applied on the same file using the same version of acrobat works perfectly under MacOS 10.11.6 - We tested it on different machines with the latest version of MacOS and Acrobat.
