Can no longer drag pdf files from Acrobat Pro DC directly into email, must instead click "share", WAIT..., etc.
New Acrobat Pro DC version no longer allows dragging the pdf icon from the top bar in directly into email.
Instead one must hit "share", WAIT..., then click "Send as attachment" then click "continue" to let it use the native email, then WAIT, then drag the pdf from that newly created email into the intended email.
Hi All,
Kindly take a note that there is no update in this feature in the mentioned time frame.
Kindly follow the steps mentioned below in the KB article in case you are facing the issue:

In the spirit of kindness, it's rather infuriating to lose a practical and common-sense function like "dragging a file from the already-open Acrobat window to another already-in-use app window" by forcing Adobe-cloud or social-media options that a professional isn't likely to want or need.
Practical, like straight to an email that's mid-composition, or into a Basecamp message to a client and colleagues.
It's more and more clear that Adobe's updates are primarily for Adobe's benefit, not those of us who rent the apps for our livelihood. Every third update makes my machine slower and clutters the toolbar with NEW! features I don't need. It's almost as if the corporate goal is to make us ever-more dependent on its cloud services, placing users at risk of losing our data if we don't continue to pay the toll,
As for this particular "improvement," I now must right-click on the toolbar to REVEAL IN FINDER where I am THEN able to drag into another app window.
Thanks, Adobe.

It's working again on my end, mysteriously, I think it must have just been an update.

Thanks for sharing. I am also on a mac. I was hoping that it would resolve once the new update had been out for a bit and bugs fixed but still nothing. I appreciate your reply with solution.

I'm on a MAC platform. What worked for me was to Force Quit Finder. Once it started up again the issue was gone. I have no idea if there's a similar fix for a PC platform.
