Any news? It's the year 2021. Arabic is official language of 26 states and not only Arabic speakers need this function.

It is really ridiculous that Adobe does not care about what its users want. We are paying customers just in case that rings any bells. I have an Adobe Creative Cloud membership.
Just as the Adobe team was able to produce Hebrew OCR, they certainly can produce it for Arabic. Hebrew is RTL that does not use Latin characters and was done, although it is used by less than 10 million people in the world. Arabic on the other hand is also RTL non-latin character set but used by more than 300 million people around the world.

This was posted in 2017, and now after more than 4 years, still nothing from Adobe.

Need support for The Arabic Language just about right now. It does not seem you are in any hurry about this. Not clear why.

Abbyy FineReader has support for Arabic OCR for many years https://pdf.abbyy.com/specifications/?redirect-from=old-fr-pro.

Adobe Acrobat can do better than delay implementing a top voted feature and improve its customer experience by adding support for Arabic OCR.

I don't know why Arabic OCR is not considered by Adobe while Hebrew is even though both are written from right to left
