I know that we need to keep the straight line on until I am finished with it instead of having to click on it every time I need to use it. I would like my three tier task bar back. Having to constantly click on the additional menu takes valuable time away from my project. Editing may be better but since I use Adobe to facilitate my bidding process, adding steps only hampers progress. Although I have Adobe Pro DC, I am going back to my Adobe Pro 9 since it was the last program that suites my business to a tee.
Did this help?

Hi pat ,
Thanks for contacting us.
As per my understanding you are trying to use the “Line” tool from the “Drawing tools” menu and you have to select “Line” each time to want to draw a line.Open option is you can click on "Expand Drawing Tools" option in the "Drawing Tools" drop down menu. It will make "Line" tool always visible in the comment tool bar.
If this is the case and you continuously draw multiple lines on file there is a way to pace it up.
Please follow below steps and tell us if it helps:
1. Install DC
2. Open file
3. Open comment App
4. Select line
5. Click on pin icon (keep tool selected) just next to drawing tools drop down menu.
6. Draw multiple lines on file without selecting line again and again.
7. When done press ESC to deselect tool.Tell us if this helps.
Regards

When using Adobe Pro DC, in order to use the straight line (strike out) , I would have to click on it each time. Since Adobe DC uses only a one tier task bar, the straight line was on a drop down menu, I would have to go to the drop down menu before I could bring up the straight line. I was having to perform two functions just to use the straight line one time. In my business, time is money. The only way I could use anything to mark the items without clicking on it every time, was to put the drawing tool in a custom task bar. I would still have to click on the custom task bar on each page and the drawing tool looks very unprofessional. I am a steel estimator and I use completed Adobe drawings to do my estimating. The straight line serves as a marker for the items as I count or put them in my program. Although I enjoy some of the other tools in DC better than Adobe Pro 9, without the convenience of multi tiered task bars and continuous use of a marking tool, I have removed Adobe DC and reinstalled Adobe 9.
