In Acrobat Pro, recognizing text would result in a continuous flow of editable text, which I could continuously select and copy all at once
Take away the boxes around text so can copy entire portions of text.

 commentedThis is Michelle and I am no longer having this issue. Thank you so much. The fix was go to the toolbar/menu on right side of document and selecting enhance scan, the click recognize text in this file, the go to settings and and choose Searchable-editable text for out option, then click the recognize text on right side of enhance menu.

 commentedHi Michelle, There multiple ways in Acrobat Pro DC in which you can run OCR on a document.
 Once OCR-ed, the text in the document is free to be selected and used.Steps:
 1) Launch Acrobat
 2) Open the document to be OCR-ed
 3) Open Tools->Enhance Scan->Recognize text->In this File
 4) Click Recognize text buttonYour text will be OCR-ed with being select-able as a whole without any boxes. The boxes you are facing are bounding boxes and are only visible in Edit App.
 Once you close the App the boxes are not visible.Thanks
 Rishabh
