Adobe Acrobat Pro XI vs. Adobe Acrobat DC
Can we get the Acrobat XI version of the Scanning stuff back? This multiple page setup in order to get to scanning a document is horrendous. When you update things, try to avoid bloating them into more steps, more bells and whistles that are just eye candy and do little to enhance anything....I like when we go update and find out that the newer version has less garbage on it, less junk added to it for overall performance gain instead of the industry standard of new versions = more bloated programming = less productivity and horrible GUI - Why does DC look like it is a push button icon based program for a PC? I have nothing that uses touch screen or similar and I really detest programs FULL of hundreds of ICONS everywhere. XI at least was simpler to get things done without wasting 1. Screen space 2. multiple page clicks to get to the final process of actually scanning something.

In XI it was great that I had a single shortcut click that I could use that allowed me to instantly scan - I did not have to select multiple locations - why is there no ability to create a simple shortcut that when I click on the program and it goes to the really useless page at the beginning it could not instead have the shortcut for whatever scan method instead? Also the ability to change front only/front & back scanning change should be there but instead you have to use the defaut other scan where you then select what type and page types rather than simple color and both or color and single side or same as black/white, etc.

Hi M.Surber,
Adobe Acrobat DC Pro houses may more features and updates than the Acrobat XI version and there are multiple methods of reaching a functionality. For particular case of scanning, you can also chose the file menu option i.e.,
File->Create->PDF From Scanner.
On this screen you have both the one-click preset scan and personalized custom scan option.Thanks
