Adobe DX would default load on top tab of Word and Outlook with no problems but not Excel. My company computer department uninstalled and reinstalled MS Windows programs and Adobe DX to no avail. I had to search and somehow got a phone number to call Adobe customer service, which was no easy task. They did a "team viewer" with my computer and it took several bumps from different customer service people to finally resolve the problem.
