your directions did not work! it is very difficult to merge documents into one with new adobe. I followed your directions as below and it did not work. is there a step that you did not include?

Hello,

If I understood you well, I think you are asking about the option of combining PDFs.
You can combine PDFs with this option:

File -> Create -> Combine Files into a Single PDF...
