Graphic conversion from Word was completely messed up

Most of the time, I've had no trouble with conversions of scientific graphics in Microsoft Word to the corresponding PDF images. This time it was really messed up! I've attached the Acrobat DC conversion and a similar conversion with another PDF converter program. The latter was a faithful translation of the Word image.

Can this be fixed?

    Dear Tanvi,

    I’m so glad that you responded to my posting! Please tell me how I can upload a Word file to this site (I don't see any way to do this) or provide your Email address.

    Of note:

    • Operating System: Windows 7 Professional
    • Office / Word 2013
    • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2018.011.20038

    All of my software is updated to the most current versions.

    Using Gaaiho PDF, I was able to convert the Word file to a proper PDF without difficulty. Also, I never had a problem with my previous version of Acrobat XI Standard.
