Can't print pdf files

Hi,

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro - Build: 18.11.20040.280397, operating on MACOS High Sierra 10.13.4, with a MFC Brother printer.

all of a sudden I can't print any files unless I go into advanced settings in the print dialogue box and change to print as image?

I have updated my mac, my printer and adobe acrobat with no success. I have attached a screenshot of the error msg in my printer queue.

Hi Bert,

Could you check if the following steps works for you?
1. Open Print dialog
2. Click on “Advance” button
3. Select “Postscript Options”
4. Change “Font & Resource Policy” to “send for each page”
5. Print your documents

    - Open the File Menu.
    - Select “Print”
    - The Printing window will appear.
    - Click “Advanced”
    - Put a check in the box next to “Print as Image”
    - Click OK to close the “Advanced” window.
    - Click OK to print.

    I have Microsoft surface pro 5 with windows 10 operating system. I need to print some documents but when I open those files using adobe reader. Files are closed automatically and quickbooks error 6150 is displaying. How do I fix this? I have to print those files and it is urgent. For more information please click the link below

    I have a Canon MG 7120 and an iMac with Mojave 10.14.5, and cannot print from the Avery.com site...I can print from all others. I get - "Stopped - Can’t open “/private/var/spool/cups/tmp/005ee5e1bd32a.”

    Can you help? Thank you.

    Hey,
    Thank you for bringing this issue to light as I have faced this issue, I have never faced this kind of an issue, later on I got some solution from the internet which was of big help, this is a firmware issue for which the system registers an unknown error called lexmark 900 firmware error, I had help from the internet which was https://printerssupport.co/fix-lexmark-900-firmware-error/, this will certainly solve the issue of youe PDF printing and also the error will be resolved.

    Hi Bert,

    Thank you for providing the information. You can follow the steps below to generate the remaining information.
    1. Press Command+Spacebar
    2. Type "terminal" and press enter
    3. In opened window, type "sudo cd /var/spool/cups"
    4. Press enter (you will need to enter your password)
    5. Now type "ls -al"
    6. Press enter and take a screenshot of the window
    7. Now type "ls -al tmp"
    8. Press enter and take a screenshot of the window

    Make sure to follow these steps after you have encountered the error message and before you dismiss the error messages. Please provide the generated screenshots.

    Dear Rite,

    Acrobat: 18.011.20058
    Printer software: 13.4
    Driver: 4.0.5 (Brother DCP-1510)
    Mac:10.13.6

    The issue happens every time I to print a PDF; other files, JPEG, Word etc., e-mail print okay.

    Messages I am getting (have to write out, cannot copy):

    "Stopped-can't open "private/var/spool/cups/tmp/004e25b8fa1a9" trying to print again the number part: 004d55b84c3b1", next time "0052b5b856a12"

    I this the info you need, otherwise where/how do I find /var/spool/cups directory and the contents of /var/spool/cups directory?

    Hi Bert,

    Thanks you for reporting this issue. It would help us immensely if you could provide the following details:
    1. Exact version of Acrobat installed on your system.
    2. Permissions of /var/spool/cups directory.
    3. Is this issue happening every time you attempt to print a document?
    4. Please list the contents of /var/spool/cups directory when the error is displayed to you.

    I cannot print Acrobat on a Brother DCP-1510 printer. If at all possible, tell me how to address other than convert to JPEG (which does allow me printing, but only page by page). If a program bug, please, address. In the past I had no such problems, hence I suspect a problem after an update. Thank you very much, Bert Menco

    can't seem to print anymore. tell me something is damaged. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall but still no change.
