Acrobat DC not opening pdf files on Mac

Can't open pdf in Acrobat DC. The wheel spins and the program has to be forcefully quit. The program stops working as it prepares the file for reading.

    I have been facing this issue for over a week. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but after opening it, when I try to open ANY PDF, it just starts spinning, so there is little point in sending a sample file. It is happening on ALL files.

    Who do I contact to get this resolved, as PDF is a basic function and I can pretty much not use any design apps as I am unable to export them to PDF.
