Reading experience dyslexics
Hi! I have ADHD and dyslexia. I think it's kind of vital to improve the reading experience at the Acrobat reader. Microsoft has done a good job with the Edge epub reading features, would be nice to have some of these features to improve reading acessibility.
Since I haven’t heard from you, I believe the issue is resolved on your side.
Feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.
Acrobat's Read Out Loud feature doesn't work correctly, so it's not a viable tool for anyone who needs "text to speech" (aka, a screen reader).
It lacks full user controls to control the voicing of the content.
It misreads the document, even those that are fully accessible by PDF/UA-1 standards and that are processed correctly by other pro-level screen readers (like JAWS and NVDA).
If Adobe would fix Read Out Loud, It would be a life-changing feature for the hundreds of millions of people worldwide who need text-to-speech. We've asked Adobe to correct this for years, but nothing has been fixed.
Please contact Adobe's accessibility team for details (contact me off list and I'll give you a key contact about this).
