When trying to insert a signature using fill & sign, encounter unknown error.
Unknown error when trying to insert a signature.
"Operation failed because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unknown error."
I've closed the program and restarted my computer but the error persists.
Thanks for reporting the issue to us and sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
This looks like a PDF specific issue. Can you please try to edit the same PDF file using Edit app. Let us know how it goes.
Also it will be great if you can share the PDF file with us.(Mail to firstname.lastname@example.org)

Still an issue? Like, can we get something here?
Any help with this Adobe? I just paid for CC knowing I'd finally be able to fill and sign, and I can't sign or fill any PDF's (it's not just a PDF-specific issue). I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no use.
Use Small PDF (www.smallpdf.com) site instead. Super easy with their esign tool and its free. Great team in Zurich Switzerland, making our lives easier vs. Adobe who doesn't seem to care.
how is this still under review? @sagrover do you have an answer yet?
I use Acrobat Pro. Fill and sign worked last week, but it won't work today. It won't work on edited existing files, nor does it work on new files. My question is this...why would it work one day and not the next?
Workaround that I found...huge step backwards in time. Print document, sign manually, scan into pdf.

I am having the same problem. It is not specific to the document as it happens on all and it doesn't make a difference if the document is being pulled from my outlook or a document saved on to the computer. Can someone help?

I have this same error when I do the suggested workaround- print and save as a pdf- the information is redacted. I have attached both files- I just want to add the date and signature.
Hi! I am having the same issue with a document. It stops working and not letting me edit on ly on page 3... How can I get this fixed?
