*Urgent* unable to edit/remove/review auto-fill content
I am unable to review, edit or remove auto-fill suggestions in Adobe Acrobat, when trying to 'Fill & Sign' the form. I tried all possible options and auto-fill keeps popping up. It is showing some previous personal and sensitive content that needs to be removed. Your support agents say that's impossible. Is this even legal that users can't delete private content showing in the software?? I don't think so.
I also tried turning it off: Edit>Prefrences>Forms>Auto-Complete>Off, but it's not working, it stays on. And I am unable to edit entry list too.
Can this be sorted or I have to delete my account????
Hi,
In order to delete the contents of the auto-fill, please follow the below steps :
• Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com/ and sign in with your credentials.
• At the top right corner of the screen, you will see an dropdown with your username on it.
• Click it and go to Settings.
• Now you can either stop the auto fill suggestions by unchecking the “Suggest words….” checkbox or you simply press Clear All button and will clear all the auto fill entries which has been stored in your account.
Please let me know in case of any concerns.
Regards,
Sandeep Grover

It can be only fixed on their website. It won't work in the app.

This response is NOT resolved, Sandeep! There are 2 places Auto-fill entries saved depending on whether you're logged in or not. If you're logged in, the setting is stored in the cloud, and you use the web to change the preference. HOWEVER, many people are NOT logged in when using Acrobat Reader, thus the Auto-fill entries are saved LOCALLY in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Security
I've already set my Cloud preference to NOT save autofill entries, but Acrobat still save the entries, because I'm NOT logged in! I also have Auto-Complete set to OFF, but the application is so broken that it's not even recognizing the local preference - This is the BUG that all these Adobe "admins" and "community experts" fail to recognize/acknowledge.

So update to anyone who needs this... the entire profile folder does not appear to need to be deleted, rather it seems to clear the cache if you delete these three files located in:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Security
named "reader_fss_signature_initials", "reader_fss_signature_initialsi", "reader_fss_signature_initialsk". Now if I can get them not to be generated in the first place...

This is absurd! I have spent hours trying to get Acrobat Reader DC to stop autofilling sensitive information like my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER on just any old sheet. The supposed resolution here is irrelevant, I'm using Acrobat on my computer and the autofill entries are stored locally on my computer, this has nothing to do with a cloud account. The suggestion by CB seemed to finally clear it, but also cleared my preferences, and it starts to accumulate suggestions again when I use Fill and Sign again. I need a way to turn this off permanently.

I resolved the problem by resetting Adobe Preferences to default in my computer with the following advice at:

I know this thread is old, but I'm encountering the same issue and have tried all of the steps listed here (any other forum I could find), but STILL when I start typing on a PDF it auto-suggests (sensitive) information I entered on a medical form. HOW DO I DELETE THIS??

This solution only worked when I logged in on my pdf doc afterwards, because I had the suggestions without being logged in, so that didn't remove them automatically. I am then wondering were they were stored...

This is so bad, I did not authorize Adobe to save my information in their servers for auto-complete functionality, Also I can not see what information is stored on Adobe servers. Please delete all autocomplete information on Adobe servers and email me about the results in 5 days.

Thank you to both the poster and the admin for providing the question and solution as I was having the same issue. It is really bad of Adobe to have this auto-fill feature enabled by default. Not happy about it.

I want Adobe to show me the EXACT LINE(s) of the Agreement.
The Lines that state my permission to retain my Personal Information on any other computer or storage [area].Truly unconscionable: NO NOTICE of this is presented to the average user.

I am having the same issue but it occurs on my offline computers (so not able to turn off through your website as suggested) onto which Adobe Rader DC is downloaded for students. In my case, students are using the program to access coursework. They use the fill and sign option for a school assignment and the next student is able to access the previous users answers. Please advise.

This is an amazing breach of user's privacy, having to make an online account to clear YOUR OWN data! Adobe hang your head in shame.
