Disable Floating Toolbar
I would like the ability to disable the floating toolbar that appears when you highlight text in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

I'm having the same problem as Jeremy. I went to Preferences-General and unchecked the box next to "Show quick actions on text selection." I then closed preferences.
The annoying floating tool bar still pops up, and when I go back to check preferences the box that I unchecked is checked to be on again. I uninstalled Acrobat. I don't have time for this.

This Preferences change did not work for me, I still get the annoying floating thing when I open a PDF - I guess what I'm seeing is something other than what the "Quick Actions on Text Selection" is referring to? I attached a screenshot of the floater. How do I disable this? I have version 2020.012.20043 on Mac - Jeremy

Hi Penny,
Thanks for Reaching out to us. We have Released Latest Acrobat and reader , and with this update we have introduced the option to Hide the Floating Toolbar from Preference. Please follow the below steps to hide the floating toolbar.
Goto Preferences
Goto General Tab
Uncheck the Box Saying "Show quick actions on text selection"You will not be getting the floating toolbar now. In Case you want to use it in future you can always go back and check the box again to use it.
