There is a BUG: Advanced search for all PDFs in a folder is currently broken. It worked last week, and right now it doesn't. I reported this as a bug in a separate post also. Not sure if this has been found yet. Please fix!

It would be useful to search a folder of pdfs, open those with hits and highlight the search term in each

I think what the original author/poster suggested can apply for other uses similar to the suggestion. It's insane for Adobe to suggest a solution without actually reading what the original author/poster actually suggested. Since Adobe is starting to fade the "portfolio" feature of Adobe Acrobat, it makes it far more difficult to really search through multiple separate PDF's all at once. So what is Adobe doing, taking away the document management features away from their consumers or dismissing their paying consumer's concerns entirely?

Thanks for reaching out
Did you try advanced search?
If not would ask you to give it a try. Here are the steps -
1. Open a PDF
2. Goto the right hand panel search box where 'search tools' is written
3. Search Advanced search in the search box
4. Advanced search window would pop-up.Try this out and let me know if you need any further info.
Thanks,
