Deleting many pages unacceptable slow in Acrobat DC
Problem: A PDF-file of 7600 pages. Selecting all even pages in Tools/Manage Pages. Then deleting all even pages except the first or last one. That takes on my iMac with newest DC version over 45 minutes. On a 10 years old PC with Acrobat version 5 it takes less then 3 minutes. That is 15 times faster! This bug needs to be fixed.

Hello,
We are not able to reproduce this issue.
Can you please provide us below details :-
- MAC OS version
- Acrobat DC version
- How you are selecting all even pages and how you are deleting them ? Is it through "Even pages" option in dropdown in OrganizePages app and then deleting using delete icon in secondary toolbar
- Is this issue only with the steps mentioned by you(ie select all even pages and then delete 1st and last) or its always there when you delete large set of pages ?Thanks,
Gaurav -

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I sometimes have to delete say 1,000 duplicate pages from a 10,000 page PDF and it take many hours to do so.

I agree with this comment. Tests show that when there are a lot of pages, that the overhead for each delete (one or more pages) increases in proportion to the number of pages. For automation on large files the performance quickly becomes terrible if many separate deletions are to be done.
