Additional commenting tools for Document Cloud shared reviews
Why are there limited commenting tools for PDF shared reviews uploaded to Document Cloud? This would be a perfect option for our organization if all the commenting tools were available (i.e., "stamp" tool, "attach file" tool).

We need this capability to share and markup maps for utility construction. After sharing we are missing the ability to add text and text callouts.
The comment feature is nice but since we are marking up maps we need ability to have tools where we can place text and shapes directly on the map at the location and have them visible without looking through a comments list.

Why can we use the pencil drawing tool but not have the same shape tools (rectangles, ovals, etc) that we have when commenting on a non-shared document!?! Should be no different to draw a line vs a box... This makes shared collaboration completely useless to us. We will be ending our trial and waiting for more collaboration tools - until then back to using free MacOS Preview.

Can we please get the function to add stamps??
Would be nice. -

Any updates on this? We have a situation where we are updating pricing in an indesign document (nearly 1,000 changes) and to not be able to import document cloud comments any other way than deleting and commenting is insanity. How at the very least is "Add note to replace text" not implemented yet?

Yes this would be so helpful for sharing pdfs. As an editor, it's great to be able to add notes and highlight text before it goes to someone else.

Just being able to add Type Over Text using the "Add Text Comment" function and "Add Stamp" function would go a long way to making this shared commenting much more useful.

Ideally this would be similar toolset to the main document...Measure, cloud, Lines, Callouts, etc. it would allow for a full collaborative markup review or documents and would be very helpful for our firm and the AEC industry at large especially as REVU for Mac is going away!

Just run into this problem, too. Without being able to insert text at cursor, or Add note to replace text, cloud commenting is a useless feature for our workflow.

Same issue for me. We need the Stamp tool and Attach File tool. Without those 2 tools, I don't think that shared reviews via Adobe Document Cloud will work for our company.

We just ran into the same issue while investigating how to do shared PDF reviews. Hard to justify paying a monthly fee for the document cloud tool when it is missing critical functionality. Is there a roadmap for matching the offline commenting options (which we really like btw), and when should we check back for updates? IMHO having the same features is important!

I agree! As the editor, I need the insert text, replace text, text box, text... all other options. Also, I'd like a special color or flag just for me so other reviewers know the editor has posted something and can differentiate an editorial from a technical comment/change.

Your roadmap is too slow - its been almost 10 years since the iPad was introduced

Thanks for your comments. Adding more tools in Cloud-based Review service is certainly part of our roadmap. Please stay tuned.

Yes, couldn't agree more with all the comments on this thread. I had set up a big editing job to do on a shared document with another editor, only to find out we could not do the work collaboratively because almost all the commenting tools disappear on the cloud version. I especially wanted access to Insert text at cursor or Add note to replace text. If Google figures out a way to let us edit PDFs on their cloud, I'll switch in a heartbeat from Acrobat to them. This is a big disappointment that Adobe has not given much thought to its Collaborative doc functionality -- pretty limited if you cannot do much to the document.

Two things I wish Document Cloud shared reviews had:
1. stamp tool (as part of the commenting tools)
2. ability to attach a file to the review after it has been shared (currently can only attach a file before sharing it) -

Agreed - the Sticky Notes can pile up really quickly, and the insert, replace text tools are critical since we import those comments into InDesign to streamline revisions. PLEASE add the rest of the tools in.
