Request to revert back the color of icon from black to red for Acrobat Standard DC
Please revert back the icon color of Acrobat Standard DC to red or any other color but black. The black color has poor visibility and not eye friendly.
Request to take it on priory basis if possible as its slow down working speed as we loose the visibility of the icon on taskbar
Hello All,
Thank you for the feedback. The icon has been reverted to Red icons in Feb release of Acrobat and Reader.
Thanks,
Karan

If it isn't broke don't fix it. I have the Pro version and find the change quite perplexing. It was a horrible call.

My desktop Adobe icons were flip-flopping from red-to-black, now it's looking like the prison stripe monstrosities are here to stay. The new adobe icon is ineloquent, and makes my desktop and folders look ugly and harsh. It has literally degraded the quality of my work experience. I'm in my desktop up to 9 hours a day, and the stark new icons strain my eyes and are more difficult to read in addition to looking half-baked and unprofessional. Maybe your design team is heavy with gamers and alt-art lovers. So perhaps this request will reach their ears: Venom adobe icon needs to go. Bring back the Spiderman.

What is this craze for changing what works?
This black icon simply does not represent Acrobat and still has all the technical readability issues involved.
Another thing is the tile in Windows 10, where the background does not follow the pattern of other tiles, especially after the 20H2 update of Windows 10. Visual consistency is everything for a software suite that is considered the best just for visual works. -

It is the black color of the FILE ICONS that I hate, see the screenshot attached. They used to appear as small representations of the first page of the file, similar to Word or JPG files - you can see in screenshot. The black square file icons are both ugly and useless. I'm using Acrobat Pro and all my Windows and Adobe programs are always up to date to the latest versions. I would really appreciate your help! Thank you, dean

A source says this was done to represent Black Lives Matter; so this will never be reverted back to red.

Please revert back to red color icon. It's much easier to detect among files. Funny that this webpage's head-banner is in Acrobat red color.

I like the black and white icon but, without a pop of colour, it's much harder to pick out pdf files from a list of documents in a folder.

Please change the icons back to red. Our customer base is so used to the red and it really set you off from other brands. Your red icon truly is 'iconic'!

What branding person thought you should dispense with a decades' old brand? I guess coke cans will no longer be red either

When can this be done?

Yes, it's very difficult to find the icon now on the toolbar and even notice on the desktop. Please bring back the well known 'red' icon

I'm even OK with the black, but can you PLEASE stop hardcoding background colors for Windows 10 tiles now? Consistency is key and Microsoft will handle this now. Please fix!!!

Please make it red again. It is much harder to find Acrobat files in file lists and desktops.

I was boggled when I finally started using Creative Cloud (I was loathe to give up CS6) and found Acrobat had switched to an icon that's nearly invisible on the Windows taskbar. This is terrible design; please change it back to the familiar red icon we are all used to working with.

The icon for Bridge and Acrobat are both white on black.
It's helpful when working to glance in my dock and immediately select the right program. The other Adobe programs I use (ID, PS, AI) are all colors, so very easy to immediately ID and select.
It seems trivial, I know. I can just tell you that it would be very helpful for many of us and probably simple on your end.

Very easy to change this manually. Search for an image of the original red icon and save it. If not a .ico file, then use an .ico converter (many available for free online) to change the .png, .jpg or whatever the picture file format that you've save is into a .ico format, and save this .ico file. Right click on the black Adobe Acrobat Pro icon in the Start Menu, choose Properties, then in the box that appears choose change icon. Browse and select the .ico file that you saved earlier, thereby replacing the black icon with your .ico version.
