PDFMaker is broken within Microsoft Word for MAC on Apple M1
The PDFMaker ribbon for Microsoft Word for Mac (version 16.49) is broken on Apple M1 with the current latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2021.001.20155
The PDFMaker ribbon is installed, the icon visible is greyed out and is missing the export PDF button and the preferences button.

This is good news on the one hand, but it's disappointing that native mode is not available for Acrobat Pro 2020 (Classic) according to the help article. Is this planned for future releases, and is there an ETA?
Thanks. -

Hi everyone,
With the September 2021 release, Adobe has added support for running Acrobat DC and Acrobat Reader DC (version 21.007.20091) natively on the Apple Silicon M1 processor. With that, these issues should not be there. Please enable native Apple mode using the guide mentioned at https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/apple-silicon-m1-processor-support.html
Please let us know if you have any more queries.
Thanks,

Hi,
same issue here. If Word is started through Rosetta, as suggested by Sagrika, then the PDFMaker ribbon is indeed no longer greyed out. However, there is still no preferences button.
When clicking "create PDF" it only gives the standard Word options for saving to PDF.
I purchased Acrobat Pro 2020 for Mac with the objective of converting multiple docx documents with comments into PDFs, where the comments are then editable in Acrobat's Comments pane.
It seems that this is not possible at the moment.

Hi Philip,
Thank you for reporting this.
Acrobat is not natively compatible with Apple Silicon devices yet.
For more details please visit https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/mac-os11-big-sur-compatibility.htmlAs a workaround, you can launch MS apps using Rosetta and the add-in should work correctly.
Instructions to use Office apps with Rosetta: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-office-for-mac-with-rosetta-and-apple-silicon-18db14f2-4abc-4d93-96a4-72a01f6e9721Regards

Same issue in our environment with our M1 Big Sur MacBook pros and the latest versions of Office 365 Suite. Kristof, were you able to figure out any resolution? We're working with Adobe support but have yet to find a solution.

The Acrobat ribbon doesn't work in Office 365 applications (Word, Excel and Power Point). The attached image shoes the current state of the ribbon.
Office for Mac version: 16.44
Adobe Acrobat Pro version: 2020.013.20074
MacOS 11.1
MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020)
