remove new 'create' button in the tabs area
Please remove the new "Create" button in the tabs area. This is the most annoying thing I have ever seen. I keep accidentally clicking on it when I want to close a tab or move the window, and then Acrobat is inoperable for up to 1 minute and a stupid spinner rotates in the middle of the window, only to display a new button "Select files". This contradicts 100% the rest of the user interface of the tool.
If you don't remove this, then please make the button optional so that it can be hidden effortlessly. I will never use it.

Yep, made an account to support this. Such an annoyance! So frustrating that I have spent time trying to find out how to get rid of it.

I thought I already wrote a comment in support of Christoph's comment, but I don't see it. I agree, it is the most annoying button ever. It gets in the way of my work every day, as it's really hard to move the window without accidentally clicking it or hovering over it which causes the window to pop up and then I have to move away and try again! Super annoying. Please Adobe - remove it or allow disabling it!

I have also created an account here just to agree with this idea. Accidently clicking on a daily basis. It is particularly annoying when needing to open several PDFs at once.
Please, please could this button be removed, or at least give us the option to disable it. It is plenty easy enough to create a new PDF through other means, and I would suggest that very few users actually even use this button. -

I also created an account just to provide feedback on this incredibly annoying button placement. See the attached GIF showing exactly why this is so infuriating. Every single time you attempt to drag a maximized window, your cursor automatically ends up under the Create button. So you now have to release the mouse button, move the mouse to a different part of the toolbar, and then double click again to re-maximize the window. The fact that the menu automatically expands when you're hovering over it makes the whole process even more tedious.

On a daily basis I inadvertently click the "Create" button when maximizing or moving the program, it's extremely frustrating! I doubt any user has ever used that button for its intended purpose. Please remove it ASAP, we implore you!

I created an account just to agree with this.
First, it's 2023, and NOTHING should be a roll-over menu. That was cute in the late 90s when pop-ups were still something "fun." Now? There's no excuse for lazy programming.
Second, there is so little real estate for clicking and dragging a whole window, and now one of the prime targets is occupied by a roll-over menu.
Stop it. Do you even try to use your own products?

I keep double clicking the top of the window to make it fullscreen and instead i get a million new Create tabs that i have to close. It's super, super irritating. Bad design.

I would add to this: Who ever creates PDF files from scratch ? I NEVER create a new PDF in Adobe Acrobat. I just make Office documents, Autocad Documents, images, etc, THEN I convert them to PDF using the other software.

Hi Christoph,
Thanks for writing to us!
We resonate with the issue that you are facing. Currently, there is no such preference to refrain this button to show extended options.
Anyways, we have kept a note for the same.
Best,
Bhawna.
