1. BUG - Add Text Comment icon Copy & Paste creates Cyrillic text characters!

   BUG - When using the Add Text Comment icon within the left menu bar, copying and pasting normal English text characters from a previously saved .pdf file creates illegible Cyrillic characters in new .pdf paste destination??!! Previous version of Adobe Acrobat has "PASTE PLAIN TEXT" feature (as all the logical Microsoft Office suite products have). Copying & pasting basic file and accounting information on monthly invoices from the last month to the next month. Please have qualified software developer/engineer reincorporate "PASTE PLAIN TEXT".

3. Issue with PDF commenting feature

   New Adobe UI has removed the ability to type over text in order to add PDF mark-up. Now you have to right-click and select 'Add Note to Replace Text'. This is very time-consuming for editors. Previous UI was much better.

   My colleagues and I have reverted to the old version for now but hope the new UI will include the ability to type over text to add PDF mark-up.

5. Ability to Rotate Comment Boxes

   Context: I am a Big 4 Auditor

   We use Adobe Acrobat to annotate client financial statements. Year to year, our annotations on client documents are very similar so we will "Export all Comments to a Data File" from the prior year's annotated document and paste it on our current year's document then update the annotations as needed in the process of our audit. From what I understand, when a page is scanned and uploaded as a PDF, there is a directional "north" hard-coded into the sheet that cannot be changed. So, when we paste the prior year's annotations to the current year, the text boxes are sometimes in the wrong direction and cannot be rotated. As we usually will have 25+ comment boxes on a page - this leads to a huge time inefficiency to either re-do all the comments or use a time-consuming workaround.

   This feature would save auditors a significant amount of time (and frustration) with the addition of a rotation feature to Adobe Acrobat. It will be well-received by many users, not only auditor, using Adobe Acrobat. I’ve seen online threads of architects being frustrated at the inability to rotate the boxes to add commentary on the side of their building designs. This has potential to benefit a diversity of industries.

   Additional considerations to implement:
   • The ability to rotate multiple comment boxes at the same time would be especially helpful.
   • The rotation feature could be implemented as a keyboard shortcut or a menu option.

6. I need a way to add points to polygons when drawn in acrobat pro. This used to be included functionality in older versions but now missing.

   Where did adding points to edit the shape of polygons go!?!? Bring back Adobe acrobat 11 Pro look and functionality. This new app UI is garbage.

7. comment feature color profiles

   I think it would be beneficial to allow users to set colors for specific commenting tools or tools in general (strike through, text box, line, rectangle etc.) based off a selected profile. I am constantly switching specific tools between blue green or red based on the task, document, or customer i am working with. Allowing a quick change profile selection ( can also include signatures etc.) would allow people to have a real customizable system. If you are working contract for multiple companies doing side jobs this can let you keep track of each profile and their requirements for colors or images on signatures etc. very easily.

8. Adobe Acrobat PDF Cloud Commenting tool does not let you see the history of comments that have had a checkmark applied

   On the cloud version there is no way to show the history of comments once they have had a check mark applied.

9. send for comments in the cloud

   Our team uses "send for comments" all day everyday. Currently we can only use "local server" to collect comments. When we use "send for comments" using adobe cloud, we lose most of the mark-up tools for collaborators to post comments. I recommend Adobe figure out how to have a full functional shared review via adobe cloud- same functionality / markup tools that are available in the local server option.

   This is basic functionality that Adobe's competitors has already, and I think will end up leading to Adobe losing customers if the functionality is not expanded/improved.

11. Hitting the Escape key deletes unsaved comment content

    Closing a comment with the Esc key deletes text entered into the comment.

    Details:

    System: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit Build 19042
    OS-Language: German
    Application Language: German
    Acrobat DC / Acrobat Reader DC Version: 2022.001.20142

    Steps to reproduce

    1. Open PDF; PDF:X4 created with InDesign CC 2022 (17.3) using placeholder text generated by InDesign
    2. Open commenting toolbar
    3. Select text or place cursor
    4. Start writing ("lorem ipsum")
    5. Hit "Esc" key

    Expected Result: Comment gets closed and text input is saved

    Actual Result: Comment gets closed and only the first keystroke ("l") is saved

    The same error can be observed for all commenting tools, however if you do not start the comment by writing in the PDF, not even the first keystroke will leave a trace if exiting the comment with the Esc key.

    Closing a comment with the Esc key deletes text entered into the comment.

13. Call out tool disappears when placed

    Using the call out tool, once I left-click a second time to place the text box, it disappears and I have to place it again (sometimes multiple times until it stays). I have experienced this issue for many years in different computers/OSs and with different versions of Acrobat and Reader. Depending on the volume of my edits, it can become extremely frustrating.

14. BUG Text callout box not updating while edited, this just started recently

    (Using Acrobat DC on a MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.6.3), Continuous Release 2023.001.20143)

    I annotate PDF page proofs constantly. Just recently the Text Callout box started not updating in real time as it's being edited. The revised text appears after cmd-S Save, but doesn't appear while being edited. This happens when editing an existing Text Callout box, and also when adding to a new one that appears below (rather than above) the text being pointed at

16. How to fix “Facebook news feed isn't available right now”

    Facebook is an app where you can read news along with entertainment or connect with friends. But situations become very tricky when you try to find out news feed and you got to know that Facebook news feed isn't available right now. Here are the steps to find out the solutions:
    1. Check your Internet connection
    2. Reboot your mobile phone
    3. Refresh the news feed page
    4. Check the Facebook server
    5. Close your Facebook app and reopen it
    6. Clear cache and remove data

17. Autocorrect within comments

    Having a correct as you type feature would be incredibly useful. With the option to add your own words. This is a feature present across other Adobe programs and will be beneficial in Acrobat comments too.

18. Allow each highlighter color to have its own opacity

    The opacity setting for highlighting seems to apply to universally across all colors. I think a better approach would be to allow a different opacity setting for each color.

    In my experience, there is no single opacity setting that provides decent readability for black on white text where the color of the highlighter is important. As a result, workflow suffers when having to adjust opacities after switching among colors, something that happens frequently when commenting my documents.

20. Comments property: Subject needs to be made visible, filterable/sortable on the Comments List

    Hi,
    There is a 'Comments property: Subject' choosable from the right-clicking on the Commentts List annotation type>Properties>General tab, where one might be able to give more individual Subjects to the same annotation type.

    As an example,
    yellow Highlighted Text Subject: Note, Follow,
    blue Highlighted Text Subject: Refer, Read-it-Later, Look After, Download
    orange Highlighted Text Subject: Revision, In-Progress, Important
    etc.

    It would be so great to make visible (chosen from the Commenting Preferences) the given Subject in an annotation on the Comments List next to the Author and Date. Even more, would be great to allow to Sort and Filter the Comments List by Subject.

    The idea behind this feature is to help and give a guide to the annotator and also the reviewer to distinguish the function and meaning of the annotations using fewer colors and oversee more simply (by sorting and filtering) the several annotation subjects.
