Let users disable "type to create comment" when Commenting: it breaks Single-Key Accelerators
When I'm reviewing my highlights in the Comments pane and want to highlight something, keyboard clicking U instead creates a new comment. When I first select something and then click U.. it's striken through instead of highlighted? That is the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve!
I have to first cursor-select the Highlight tool to be able to properly keyboard switch again between other tools. I understand that giving U different functions in different contexts makes sense but this very much seems to be a bug.

Remove comment stickers when save as JPG
When save PDF as JPG format, we can see which has comment stickers on it by default, I think it doesn't make sense since JPG format is not the proper way for reviewing all the comments. Maybe it can be a optional setting for comment existing when save as a JPG.

Add option to include year along with day and month that appear on comments.
When viewing a document that has comments from a year ago, it would be helpful if the comments had the option to include the year of original posting in order to differentiate. For example, when a document has a comment from July 23, 2020, it only shows as "July 23" within Adobe, making the comment seem more recent.

Bug with click and type when using Comments in Acrobat on Mac
With the selection tool selected and the comments pane open, you should be able to click and type anywhere in your PDF, and the relevant text edit tool will be applied (strikethrough, replace, insert). This is a great timesaver. On my Mac, though, this works until I press one of the 'problem' keys – such as e, y, i, d, h, j – at which point no mark-up appears and my keyboard is disabled (including the arrow keys) until I close Acrobat and reopen it.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this bug? It doesn't…1 vote -
Export review comments to Excel
The comments compilation remains as a .pdf only. I want to be able to extract shared review comments to an Excel file for further resolutions to be added outside the review. The .fdf and the .xfdf create garbled data content. The export to Word is also with issues. It does not work.
Request a feature that will allow export to a flat-file Excel file.5 votes -
Highlighting tool
Recently, the highlighter tool would remain selected so that I was able to use it to highlight multiple bits of text without having to select the tool for each thing I wanted to highlight. Now, I must re-select the tool each time, resulting in hundreds of extraneous clicks. How can I get the highlighter tool to stay selected?
This problem only began in the last week or so.
Thanks for your help.

Fill & Sign Commenting
I have been using Fill & Sign to annotate and mark academic assessment tasks. I noticed that when you click on "Ab" to enter a comment, it remembers previous comments you have entered, which can be very time-saving when you have lots of similar tasks to mark. Here's my question:
Using this "Ab" commenting tool, can you build up different comment banks over time for different applications, can you upload, download, edit such comment banks, and if so what format of file would you need to use? For example, being able to have a simple text file with comments for…1 vote -

Unmarked annotations - option to tag all at once in Acrobat
When we create documents in InDesign using interactive buttons, there are usually unmarked annotation errors in Acrobat's accessibility checker. This happens when the buttons are on master pages or when they're not included within the Articles panel.
As well as fixing this, it would be really helpful and time-saving to be able to search for all the unmarked annotations using the search function within the Acrobat Tags panel, and tag them all at once, rather than having to find and tag them one by one.

commenting styles
Please enable the ability to save multiple commenting styles similar to PDF Xchange by Tracker. It is very helpful to have a few different styles set up so I can, for example, use connected line tools to highlight several different things on a drawing in different colors, thickness, opacity.

Comments: bug with superscript text formating
For a few months now, when I apply superscript format to comment texts, the correct format appears, but only until I save the comment, at which time subscript is applied instead.

Shortcut for Next Comment or Previous Comment not working
When I'm in the Comments pane, I want to use shortcut to navigate between the comments (with the comments shown in the context). However, the documented shortcut (Tab/Shift-Tab) is not working. The arrow key (up/down) is working for some parts, but in some cases, pressing Down arrow key goes back to the first comment on the page (or in some case goes to the previous page's comment) instead of moving to the next comment.
Please help.

Allow grouping/ungrouping of drawing tool markups (pencil marks)
Acrobat automatically groups drawing tool (pencil) marks together, which is sometimes desirable and sometimes not. Why is there no option to right-click and group/ungroup pencil marks like there is for arrows, lines, and shapes? If I want to add a separate comment for each pencil mark, I undo the latest mark(s) and try to "trick" Acrobat by highlighting something or adding a shape, comment, etc. and then adding the second pencil mark. Sometimes this works and sometimes I have to do this multiple times. Then I go back and delete the unwanted highlight/shape/comment. If I create another pencil mark later,…

The superscript specified when entering an annotation becomes a subscript in the annotation list.
OS: Windows10
Version: Acrobat DC continuous Release 2020.013.20074 (ja_JP)Step to reproduce.
1. Switch to the annotation tool and select the text on the PDF.
2. Start typing from the keyboard and enter the correction details to open a window and display the input details. Click Text Properties and specify a superscript for the text in the window.
3. When we press the post button, it will be reflected in the list of annotations, but the superscript part will change to subscript. This bug exists only on Windows. Superscripts are reflected normally on macOS.

Make straight edges on highlights an option in Commenting preferences
Highlights are currently rounded at the edges, which makes it difficult for editors and compositors to tell whether the highlight applies to surrounding punctuation, spaces, and other narrow characters. Additionally, the blue boxes that appear around the highlights when they are clicked on often extend past the text that was actually selected, which can cause further confusion for those who need to edit things precisely.
Straight edges on highlights would allow for a clearer and more accurate view of what is being commented on. Please make this is an option in the Commenting preferences.
