  1. I love the idea of the TRANSITIONINSTALLMODE=3 command line parameter! Because this behind the scene removes the previous 32-bit versions of Reader and Acrobat while installing the new 64-bit unified app. Removing Acrobat usually is a pain because if any other Adobe processes are running, eg acrobat, AcroRd32, photoshop etc then those processes have to be terminated or the install fails.

However there appears to be a version check when using the parameter and so in the scenario where ARM is self updating the 32-bit app and installs say a latest optional update which is a higher version…

  2. I don't want programs randomly creating shortcuts on my desktop, so I deleted everything in C:\Users\Public\Desktop and locked that folder (if I want stuff on my desktop I put it in C:\Users<my name>\Desktop).

The problem is that now when Adobe reader tries to update, it says that the update failed because it can't create a shortcut in C:\Users\Public\Desktop. But that's just the point, I don't want it to create a shortcut there. I want it to update anyway, but without creating a shortcut.

If it can't create a desktop shortcut, it should just ignore that and update anyway. Or even…

  3. Not having the ability to utilize the 64bit versions of Pro and Reader is enraging and short sighted. People who develop PDFs need the ability to test them in Reader as the vast majority of users install Reader. There are also use cases where it is impractical to be consistently signed in, which then means you can no longer utilize PDFs at all. This is dumb and how it did not occur to your product team boggles the imagination. Please either restore the ability to use both products on the same machine, or at the very least allow access to…

  4. Stop adding the Adobe shortcut on desktop that users are unable to deleted unless admin privileges are entered. Every update its another email to IT to ask them to delete it.

  5. Like so many before, I want to have control over my own computer. If I ever had any reason to want a desktop shortcut for Adobe, I could create one. Or I could request one on install. I have NEVER wanted one. So one should not appear on my desktop every few days, no matter how many times I delete it or hide it.

  8. When installing even the testversion of Acrobat DC the Acrobat Reader disapears. Seems to be uninstalled. After the trial I need to uninstall Acrobat DC and install the Reader again. This is not acceptable, as there is no hint at the installation of Acrobat DC!

  9. I know how to access my invoices but it is a hassle, time consuming and easy to forget.

Please send me my invoices by email automatically.

I shouldn't have to log into my creative cloud account, find my latest invoice and click an email me button. Creative Cloud should send me my invoice automatically.

Adobe is able to send me tips, marketing information and other rubbish automatically but the one thing I want, it can't do.

The people reviewing these messages seem to think it is smart to ignore requests by many hundreds of people or even to merge it…

  12. I would like to request the ability to set up a scheduled daily or weekly report that would email me a .csv list of my users with the products that are assigned to them. I currently have to log into my Admin Console and download this report, but and automated report, even in the form of an email notification indicating that my report is ready to download, would be very useful. thanks

  13. A date of last logged on or usage would be helpful in managing user subscriptions who hasn't used the Adobe product in the last 2-3 months. This will help remove abandon subscriptions.

  14. Since the upgrade to Business IDs, I am no longer able to edit user display names from the Admin Console. Please bring back the ability for admins to edit their user's profiles.

  15. Much like another feature being requested, I would like to see a breakdown in the Admin console of not just licenses allocated or used, but also when they were last used.

For example, do I have a user that just opens/reads PDF's all day and doesn't need Standard DC, or do I have a user that isn't using all the features of Pro and could be downgraded to Standard?

We have close to 3,000 users of Adobe products, it is going to be a tedious pain in my rump if I have to automate the removal of ALL the installed…

  18. The "Create a Package" option of the Adobe Admin Console's Packages link for enterprise licenses only offers a "Self-Service Package" that does not allow for MECM deployment and Customization Wizard customizing, or a "Managed Package" that also forces the Creative Cloud Application Desktop Manager.
Please include the third option of a Direct Installer Package that allows us to find, download, and customize an Adobe Acrobat-only installation (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html).
