  1. Unless I am missing something it appears that Acrobat Distiller is only able to process one file at a time. I feel like there is a missed opportunity here to take advantage of modern multi-core CPUs and allow Distiller to at least process as many files as there are logical cores on the CPU at the same time. For example I was recently tasked with converting a few hundred files to PDF and it took approximately an hour and a half but if it were able to process 16 files at a time (my CPU has 16 logical cores) I…

  2. We have found recently that some documents are missing a bunch of characters when printed, despite appearing fine on-screen. When I contacted support, I was advised that this is just something that happens when PDFs were not created by Adobe. To me, it sounds like handling PDFs created by other apps would be a basic function of a PDF application and should be fixed in Adobe.

  3. Currently in Acrobat Pro DC, the only the way to center the image on a selected page size is to also select Auto for the page Orientation; Landscape or Portrait orientations both place the image in the upper left corner and there doesn't seem to be any way around this.

There are times when it would be helpful to be able to simply click a check box that will center the image on a selected page orientation (or, ideally, other options as well center top, center left, etc). Printing a square image (which is regarded by Acrobat as portrait) on…

  4. When selecting an output color profile in Acrobat Pro DC, the default and unchangeable rendering intent for Color Management seems to be Perceptual, but that can have severe consequences when working with multipage files that contain RGB elements. It would be excellent to be able to choose Relative Colormetric (at least) as an alternative so that out of gamut colors get clipped instead of skewing the colors of a document in a perceptual way.

A particularly troublesome example would be a multipage document which shares a matching background color, in which each page has different RGB elements and a different…

  5. When printing with Letter and Legal in the same document. Adobe prints everything on letter. When I select to print only the legal page Adobe prints on legal paper.

  6. Adobe Print To PDF - Only provides to options when it goes to print a file name that already exists. Either "overwrite without prompting" OR "prompt" which requires the user to manually enter a new file name. It should have an option to Add a Numeric Suffix if the file name already exists.

  11. Documents such as petitions are often numbered. This is so a set of identical documents assigned to different people can be tracked, to ensure that all pages are accounted for. Being able to print a unique sequential number in the footer of each page would be a tremendous enhancement. For example, if I were printing 500 pages of a 2-page document in duplex mode, I would want a serial number to appear on the footer of the first page in this sequence: 1001, 1002, 1003.....1499, 1500.

  17. The default printing preferences are Letter even though my Windows regional settings are not US. Should be A4.

I change the default from Windows Settings>Devices>Printers & scanners>Adobe PDF>Manage>Printing preferences>Adobe PDF Page Size but it resets every time Acrobat updates!

    Please fix both these issues.

  18. Please make a selection to define a standard printer.

I have two printers in use with my MacBook Pro.

    1x label printer

    1x inkjet printer

Adobe Acrobat always uses the label printer and not the default printer.

In the system settings, the default printer is the inkjet printer.

All programs, regardless of whether they are Office or system programs, recognize this device, but not Adobe.

  19. We are a print and packaging company and use the Acrobat Upload feature in Outlook when sending proofs - It is awesome and saves a huge amount of time. Now I have been wanting to speed up the "Approval" time by contacting our clients which we send these links to, however I do not want to nag them thus I was thinking that if there was a download notification which gets sent once the client has downloaded the file - then we cold follow up as we know that they have downloaded the file but not approved it yet.

    Hope…
