  1. Hello,
So until recently (today is Nov 17 2022), Acrobat Pro had an option in the Preferences to turn off the Recent files window as default. Now that option is gone, and I wish Adobe will restore that option. Now every time my documents are closed with command-w, I get the Recent files window, and I have to close it with another command-w or manually by clicking on the window. I'm not sure if this is a new feature or is actually a bug that should be fixed. I would expect that a single command-w should close the window completely.

  2. Hello, if you are searching for a direct solution to export MBOX files to your Gmail account along with attachments then you can go and download the advanced CubexSoft MBOX to Gmail Converter. There is no need to have any technical knowledge to perform the MBOX emails to Gmail conversion using this software. The free opportunity of the application is also available to move the MBOX mailboxes to Gmail for free of cost to evaluate the performance of the software.

  3. The Select Tool is the default tool. I never use it and have never seen a need to use it. It makes the screen turn blue and wants to select things instead of letting me drag and move around the page to review large documents. I always have to stop what I'm doing and switch to the hand tool. I am opening and managing easily over 100 PDFs a day and having to switch at every new document is frustrating and time consuming. Adding this as an option would save so much time for users that need this as their…

  4. After the update from version 22.002.20191 to version 22.003.20258, we've detected an issue with the new Microsoft Purview Information Protection plug-in.

It can happen, that Adobe Acrobat DC crashes, if a MIP protected PDF file shall be opened. In this case the opening process hangs and Acrobat DC doesn't react any longer and you have to terminate the app.

This happens, because the cached account information for MIP are obviously unusable (e.g. corrupt or invalid). The only solution currently is, to clear the cache via the "Clear remembered account information" button.

But many standard users aren't aware of this possibility/solution…

  5. In Adobe DC Pro, the Java Script Debugger window can be resized, but the internal sections cannot / do not scale to the proportions of the overall window size.

The internal sections should be movable / scalable to allow all parts to be viewed, with scroll bars, for the overall window size chosen for the main debugger window.

Very frustrating that the contents do not fit within a normal 1920 x 1080 monitor on my system.

  6. Currently you have to scroll the tools panel to see long form field names. It would be more user friendly to be able to see the whole name.

  7. Why has acrobat become a useless and annoying program? It used to be a great program now it is terrible. Why does every basic change in preference require a registry edit? The designers are clearly not as smart as they think they are.

  8. You have just introduced a new menu bar: "Home", "Tools"... etc, including the new "starred" category.
I'd actually like to read my pdfs, and the more screen area, the easier that is. Your new menu bar lessens the screen area I have to read my documents. Can you at least make this menu bar toggled, so that I and others wanting more screen space can get rid of it?
    Thanksd

  9. Please let us allocate RAM to Adobe Acrobat. I have 32 GB of RAM and when I open a few heavy documents (the OECD transfer pricing guidelines in different editions), one of them comparing 2 heavy documents, everything slows down considerably. I subscribe to Creative Cloud, everything is up to date.

  10. I like the redesign of Acrobat 2022 on the Mac, however please bring back the proxy icons in the title bar/tabs. I use these extensively in my workflow to drag a recent PDF into an email message.

  11. I have to read a lot of scientific papers, where I have to refer back to concepts earlier in the document. Whenever I then click on a previous bookmark I notice that the bookmark highlighted corresponds to the latest bookmark I clicked rather than the current bookmark. I understand this kind of makes sense when the bookmarks tab is used as literal bookmarks, however, with most documents it is actually used as a Table of Contents. Therefore it would be useful if the highlight within the table of contents moves along with the reading experience such that the reader knows…

  12. Edit - Preferences - Documents - unticking [ALT+w] doesn't help.
Is this some new feature of an update or what? There is no way to pin the menu bar fixed and visible all the time?

ps. Mentioning the Windows / Edge hijacking pdfs, here too, even if that doesn't belong to this issue...

  13. I often receive PDFs from others with thousands of pages and hundreds or thousands of bookmarks. When I click on a bookmark, Acrobat shows the matching page. This should also work in reverse; i.e., if I go to page 40,295, DC should display the matching bookmark for that page. There is command in the Bookmark menu called Expand Current Bookmark (it should be named "Show bookmark for the page I am on"), which helps a little. But what is really needed is for Acrobat's bookmarks to be synchronized with the pages in a PDF, so as we go through the…

  14. Please reinstate the pause feature in Full Screen Navigation: The auto advance feature used to allow users to pause auto advance by holding down the space bar or the shift key, but that is no longer the case. Please reinstate this very useful feature.

  15. Has anyone ever tried to resize the Add Background or Add Watermark dialog boxes hoping you'll get a larger preview? Did anyone at Adobe QC have a go? ...No?
Describing what it does is overly complicated, refer to the pic. But what it doesn't do is enlarge the preview.

  17. Overlay bars that are not easily hidden and may contain conflicts with the actual content of the document have been objected to 10 years ago, and the "Signed and all signatures are valid. Please fill out the following form." banner in blue I found today continues to present basically all of the problems from this thread from 2009-2011 regarding purple bars, including that it is not clear how to hide the bar for easier reading or screen presentation. https://acrobatusers.com/forum/forms-acrobat/how-do-you-remove-purple-instruction-bar/

Clicking the blue bar almost anywhere does nothing. There are 2 buttons at the right edge... only one of them seems…

  18. As a postgraduate student I have many readings, usually in the form of journal articles, almost always PDFs that I am given. The content is quite in depth and sometimes I am not always able to fully read content in one sitting. When I turn my PC off and reopen the files I currently have to use an external method to keep track of where I was. Sometimes this can be quite laborious and confusing.

I would like a feature that enables me to for example, drag a progress bar down to the section I've read, that automatically saves for…

  19. Hi, I found an annoying ongoing issue. I use my daily tools box set (left side of the program window, when the document is opened). But without any reason, it's time to time reset by default and again and again, I must collect my new own...
The next one is about the tools line on top of the window it's seen before you do not open any document (in the Home tab), the same issue...

  20. Bionic reading is a new method facilitating the reading process by guiding the eyes through text with artificial fixation points. As a result, the reader is only focusing on the highlighted initial letters and lets the brain center complete the word. In a digital world dominated by shallow forms of reading, bionic reading aims to encourage a more in-depth reading and understanding of written content.
