During autotag in acrobat Pro DC "ID" we created automatic if we no need these ID, we can't delete these "ID" from all in one click. We need option to removed all "ID" in click for all tag or give the option during autotag so that "ID" will not create. If you give option in upcoming Acrobat Pro DC version, our time not waste to deleted "ID" manually one by one tag select.

InDesign to Acrobat Accessibility Bug
When performing Acrobat remediation on Indesign publications containing correct export tagging, the Acrobat Reading Order tool shows "P" tags at the end of each line of text (as well as additional "P" tags in the middle of lines). The Acrobat Tags panel shows no paragraph tags -- just broken up lines of text.
Fortunately, these broken up lines are not reproduced as such by the screen reader. So why does Acrobat identify each line of text with a "P" in the first place?
This issue needs to be fixed as it creates a dilemma and lot of unnecessary remediation work…
4 votesHi,
I checked it on my side and this is because Indesign create tags in such a way that it contains multiple line text. The Reading Order tool shows the separate container due to multi line text. It can be seen as single if you check “Display like elements in single block” checkbox. For the multiline text, the issue will be fixed from Indesign side.
Please tell me if I can help you with anything else.
Thanks

Right click functionality while tagging content in accessibility suite.
Problem Description: While remediating document for accessibility in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Visual Tags that are assigned can sometimes be stacked or overlayered (<P>, <H1>, <TOC>, etc.) on top of the tagged text. This makes it difficult to ISOLATE AND KNOW the layered tag that you would like to right-click on the output display.
Steps to Reproduce: //Open a Table of Contents in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC/ Open Accessibility Checker and check document/ Click on Tags Icon in Accessibility Menu/ Click on Reading Order/ go to body of document/ Identify tags that look like they are overlayered on top of…

Improved MacOS "spoken content" functionality in Acrobat for Mac
The text reader in MacOS is not a typical screen reader, but it does provide easy, fast access to spoken content from on-screen text. Unfortunately, it does not work with Adobe Acrobat. Ideally, it would speak selected text with a keyboard shortcut, but only reads the document name in Adobe Acrobat. The Acrobat screen reader is difficult to use, does not read selected text, and often fails due to pdf accessibility issues.
5 votesHi,
I understand the issue faced by you. Read Out Loud is not a screen reader provided by Acrobat but a feature to read the pdf.
You can user VoiceOver on MacOS which is a Screen Reader supported by Apple. You can easily find the shortcuts at https://www.apple.com/voiceover/info/guide/_1131.htmlI hope this would help you in resolving the issue.

Reflow View - file corruption, pages gets "stuck" in reflow View or change orientation
Have had problem with several files becoming corrupted by using Reflow View. Two things happen:
1. Some pages get "stuck" in reflow even after closing and reopening the file.
2. The format of some pages changes to Portrait or other design changes occur.3 votesHi Rae,
I checked the details provided by you. There is no issue here. If you open the original file and click on Actual Size in menu, you will see the same exact view that you see after reflow. The view is actually shown in actual size after reflow.
Keep the view in Zoom to Page Level to see the full page view. Please confirm if this resolves your concerns.

Immersive Reader vs. Acrobat Read Out Loud Audio
Microsoft Word 365 has an immersive reader where the text is read out loud while panning and highlighting the text being read with options such as WPM adjustment. Trying to use the Read Out Loud function in Adobe Acrobat Reader is painful. It is hard to find, the synthetic voice is unpleasant and disruptive, and overall the accessibility for this feature seems to be the bare minimum. PDF's are the format of choice for scientific papers, which are rather dry reading material. An option to listen, following along while reading would greatly increase the efficacy of this program. I've personally…
5 votesHi,
I understand the issue faced by you here. I can help you with some of the functionalities fo ROL.
1. Finding ROL : It can be found in View Menu → ROL → Activate ROL – > Read the document. Alternatively, you can use keyboard shortcut also i.e. Ctrl+Shift+Y(activate) then, Ctrl+Shift+V/B (read the document)2. Secondly to change the voice you can install the voices from the system language setting and they will appear in Adobe Preferences → Reading → Under ROL setting. You can change it as per your convenience. You can also change Speed, Pitch go the ROL as well.
Having said that, we understand that the ROL is not a screen reader but a support given by the Adobe for reading the pdfs. We’re continuously working on this to make it better for our users.
I hope I have resolved the issues faced by you.

Drag to Resize Blue Border Feature While Tagging
Once a field perimeter is established, occasionally you have to re-draw the box to capture the text that you are tagging (can be 10+ attempts).
The feature request is to make the blue perimeter box resizable by adding a handle to the box allowing the user to resize the blue box, as you would if you were resizing a window pane on a windows desktop environment.
This allows us to add to the existing tag data rather than reparsing the desired text field.

Highlight to website
If you are looking at a text you should be able to highlight a part of the text it should send you to the website that they got the idea from. While your writing a text instead of putting in a bibliography you should highlight your text and reference it there.

Assign shortcut keys to all menus and options
Not only is the DC interface confusing and more time-consuming to use than the old one, but it does not comply with Section 508 of the Americans With Disability Act, which requires that the federal government, in its software procurement process, consider accessibility. Adobe Acrobat does not take into account the needs of users who rely on voice recognition software to accomplish actions that fully abled users accomplish with the mouse. When using voice recognition software, it is quick and easy to dictate a shortcut key or sequence of shortcut keys, but extremely slow, cumbersome and error-prone to get the…

Scrolling and Autoscrolling for Adobe Digital Editions
These options can allow for a smoother reading experience. Also, a good chunk of the population has neck and shoulder issues, and autoscrolling allows one to read without constantly having one arm curled forward on the mouse or keyboard.
2 votesHi Nancy,
As told by you over mail that you want to raise an issue for Adobe Digital Editions and not Reader, you can raise your query on https://community.adobe.com/ for Adobe Digital Edition under “Digital Editions”.I hope this will help you.

Bug: saving causes tag list to collapse
Each time the document is saved, the tag list collapses, losing the spot in the tag list. I also don't understand why multiple tags being highlighted means Properties is no longer available. It wasn't like that before.

Fix the FIX tool for Artifacting
When you have elements with no alt-text you get accessibility errors when running the checker. However, if you right click on the error and choose "fix" and walk through the items and mark them as decorative, instead of actually making them an artifact it simply changes the tag to "Artifact" which is not a valid tag and creates other errors. You then have to go in and properly designate the objects as Artifacts properly for the other errors to go away. VERY Frustrating. Come on Adobe Acrobat!
This is a repeatable condition and needs to be fixed immediately please!
Setting…

Adobe Acrobat Portfolio and Attachment Features Need Keyboard Accessibility Enabled to read documents and access the Open Document Link
Within Adobe Acrobat there are options to Create a Portfolio of documents or to use the Attachment feature to create a group of documents. While keyboard shortcuts allow you to browse some of the menus, get to the document list, and select a document from the list. However, there is not a keyboard short cut to read the document in the view or to access the Open Document link. It seems to be only available through mouse selection.
This places users of these features at risk because the end user can't access the document to read it using only keyboard…
5 votesHi,
As I can see, the issue is related to keyboard keys, Please follow the below controls to access the Open Document link.
Use tab to click on Attachment in Left Hand Pane. Press tab multiple times to bring the focus on the Option menu. Click Enter and Use arrow keys to navigate inside Options menu items. This resolves your access to Open Document Link.Secondly, Use Ctrl+Shift+Y and then Ctrl+Shift+V/B to read the document using Read out loud feature. You can alternatively see it in View Menu → Read Out Loud → Click Activate ROL → Click Read this page/ end of the document.
Please confirm if this resolves your issue.

F2 should be returned to renaming function
With the newest update, F2 (used universally for renaming across every other PC/Windows program/functionality) was changed to a help function that brings up an Adobe Internet help site.
F1 is used universally for help, and no one needs that much access to Adobe help pages.
F2 should be returned to renaming. Ctrl-F2 is a ridiculous and difficult change for renaming and it's the worst idea ever.
I remediate hundreds of PDFs for accessibility, and having to make a more complicated keystroke to rename tags is a huge problem.

Enable Accessibility options automatically during save.
We need a way to setup adobe Pro to automatically utilize the accessbility scanner when saving a doc to become more ADA compliant.
Out of the box, this should be a feature we can turn on.
5 votesHi,
You can check the Accessibility of a pdf by running the Run Accessibility Check feature in Accessibility App.
Also we have kept this request in a radar and will try to provide the support in future. Please check out latest features on Acrobat Pro DC.

Accessibility Checker to check at WCAG in line with PAC3 App checker
We are continually getting issues with compliance and the Adobe PDF Checker is not being stringent enough. We have created PDFs that are given a clear bill of health using the Adobe checker but our web team use the PAC3 app to verify and they fail on many levels. We would like Adobe to improve the checker to a similar standard so it then complies with legislation for public service bodies in the United Kingdom. Also, as we use Macs most other checkers are PC only so a level playing field would be immensely helpful. Thanks.
14 votesHi,
Thanks for contacting us. Can you please provide some sample files with the PAC3 checker results so that we can check the difference and proceed accordingly. Thanks

Bug: Images become blank grey boxes when changing the reading order
When we change the reading order in Accessibility of images in a scanned and OCR'd document, the image becomes a grey or white box and no longer shows the image if we move it in the reading order. If you move it back to the original location in the reading order, the grey box disappears. If you save it once the grey box appears, it's permanent. We have tried working with support and they've witnessed the issue happen. The open case may be under cheil@wooster.edu but I don't have the case number handy.

Set Document Title in Initial View as Default
Current Behaviour - If a PDF document has a title present in the “Title” document property then the default initial view of Acrobat Reader and Acrobat PRO is set to "File Name" rather than the "Document Title".
Impact - Acrobat's Accessibility Checks report the "Title" error while the title is already there. This requires the "Initial View" setting to be changed on each PDF manually.
Desired Behaviour - Set the “Initial View” to “Document Title” as default when a PDF is opened on Acrobat Reader DC and Acrobat DC Pro.
Why the feature is needed - All organisations want to…

Alt text as searchable content in PDFs
Would love for alt text to be part of the searchable text in Acrobat's "Find" function—whether that's alt text that's been added in Acrobat as a tag or has been set up prior in another program (like INDD).

Thanks for connecting with us. We have taken you suggestion and we have kept it in our radar. Currently we do not plan to implement it in near future but you may see it coming in future releases. Thanks

Hyperlinks Spanning Multiple Lines
Hyperlinks that span more than one line create multiple OBJR tags.
Reproduce: Create file in InDesign with links that span more than one line. Export to PDF/open with Acrobat. Find tag. Link will have two OBJR tags (or more if the link spans more than two lines). This is a bad experience for users of assistive technologies.
Sometimes manually fixing tags (deleting old links and creating new OBJR tag) isn't sufficient and designer has to resort to editing in the content pane or even using the Actual Text override to get the link to be read by assistive technology properly.…11 votesHi,
As we checked on our side, this issue is related to the tagging functionality in InDesign. Please log the issue with them. Thanks
