Next page pops up automatically causing nausea
For a PDF file, when I scroll down, the next page pops up automatically. This is very irritating and is causing me nausea. I am not able to find the option to change this. Please make the access to the option to change the feature more visible.

Option to hide pages and bookmarks panels by default when opening a document
There should be a default setting to hide pages and bookmarks when I open a document. I don't use the functions and don't find them useful. I shouldn't need to close these panels every time I open a document. I don't care what the document properties are.

Wheel scrolling on bookmark pane is mandatory. Without it navigation through document is difficult. Also creating links to internal document is hampered.

Minimize Pop-ups
I've seen a lot of posts on this topic, however, I want to add some specifics to better quantify the issue. Major pop-ups that routinely affect my work are "do you want to make this a trusted document," "enable all features," new feature announcements such as "adobe has a new look," "do you want to make adobe the default program," and more that I might not be remembering right now.
As far as the "do you want to make this a trusted document" and "enable all features" prompts, I'm sure there's a reason these pop-ups exists. That being said, regardless…

Focused link doesn`t work with Screenreader pressing Enter
Hi,
I hope you can help us. We have found out that links cannot be executed with activated screen reader (NVDA, version 2024.4.2) after focusing with the Tab key. Although you can focus the link, you cannot execute it by pressing Enter. We use Acrobat Pro 2024.005.20421.
The links works in other PDF viewers (with NVDA, focussing and Enter).
In Acrobat Pro It affects almost every document with (many) pages and links. Is this a bug? Can you help us with this?

read out loud line break pause
Read Out Loud only seems to pause when there is punctuation, however, there are other things like Title, Subtitle, Summary, Comments, etc. on a page that do not end with punctuation. It reads them without pause. This is confusing, even if you a reading along as it speaks. Perhaps you could add some AI that recognizes structures like these and inserts a pause (the same amount of time you'd use on a Period.) Or perhaps it's as simple as pausing when there's a line break, even if there's no punctuation. Smaller changes to the reading quality like this offer considerable…

Alt Text editing text field is too small
Acrobat's alt text editing field is too small with "Add alternate text" function in "Prepare for accessibility." This makes it extremely painful to write and review long alt texts. It should be made expandable.
I know that it's also possible to edit alt text in Object Properties, where has a larger text editing field, but using "Add alternate text" is a much more convenient way.

Adobe automatically installing collaborative services in background.
Why are collaborative services running on my end user's computer? What do we need a collaborative synchronizer background service running for?
We are a company that forbids the use of cloud based services for obvious security reasons. Downloading a PDF viewing app such as Adobe Acrobat does not warrant the installation of cloud based services that we did not sign up for.
We have begun using Foxit, because Adobe continues to ***** around with customers, thinking that we need this or that while installing it all automatically without the option to opt out of any of it..

Your login does not recognize my email address so I have to come in through Google. Please fix it.
Do not try to limit emails based on their form. mine is XXXX.XXXXX.PE@gmail.com
Your login does not recognize the email name because of the second period. It is a valid email so you need to fix your application.1 vote -
read out loud can't read words split across lines
If a hyphen is inserted in the middle of a word at the end of a line to divide it and continue on the next line, the Read Out Loud feature thinks it is the end of a paragraph, stops reading, and does not pronounce the divided word. It is stopping reading in the middle of a sentence. This makes for a more painful listening experience.

Keep the settings per the last session (pan vs select)
As someone who has getting older and hard to see the tools, it would be spectacular if I didn't have to toggle to the pan button every time I open a PDF. Who want to select things by default in a PDF? Or at least have a preference so the user can select the desired tools to be set. I work with large plans, and it's my preference to be able to pan by default. I don't want the select tool active as it can select lines and get inadvertently moved. All you need to do is in Customize Toolbar,…

Restore the read aloud feature in "new" Acrobat.
Where did the Read-Aloud feature in new Acrobat disappear to? This is a major feature loss, and it's simply impractical to expect users to open documents in Reader to access read aloud. Unless this functionality is restored quickly, we'll explore ditching Acrobat in favour of other PDF tools.
