2. Device limitations

   The device limitations (can't have two or more devices per account) is not feasible for an agency with devices at a time. I spoke with someone from Adobe, and they said we could up just Adobe Acrobat and that would solve the problem. But we're still having to kick off devices.

   We need to have a solution so more than two people can view PDF's at one time.

3. Detect line work changes with pdf plans

   the ability to detect line work changes between versions of pdf plans. when the designer makes changes to plans and does not call them out specifically, changes become difficult to find.

5. an internal error occurred preview windows 11

   I keep getting "an internal error occurred" when I try to preview documents in Windows explorer. It occasionally crashes Explorer. This is happening on two of my machines both running Windows 11. I don't recall this happening in Win 10.

   I have to disable the preview function to be able to use Explorer without it wigging out on me.

7. EXTREMELY SLOW Adobe Acrobat performance on Mac (re-reporting of common issue)

   I'd like to re-report a general issue with Adobe Acrobat running on Mac. While viewing simple PDFs (<1MB), without annotations, Adobe Acrobat has 1 to two second delays when scrolling, painfully slow performance, the program is basically unusable.

   I'm sure you are aware of this, because with a limited search I've seen multiple posts asking for help with this, most notably:

   The issues brought up in this post fully summarize my problem -- and BEAUTIFULLY surmises a likely cause of these problems. However, while a recurrent issue, I've seen very little interest from your company in addressing it...

   I have Creative Cloud, with auto-updates active for Adobe Acrobat, and I have a 2020 Macbook Pro, 16gb RAM, good graphic card (although as beautifully pointed out in the blog post above, said graphics card is not even utilized by Adobe Acrobat)... I should not be having issues with this program. I am wholesomely disappointed in this program. I'll be uninstalling it until these issues are addressed.

8. Reading mode

   Reading mode based on browser Reading Mode function. I'm aware that Acrobat already has a "reading mode" but that just hides UI elements. Reading Mode in browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge extracts the text from the page, strips away all formatting rules such as fonts and colours and re-displays the text in a pre-set format in the user's selected font.

   This is helpful when the page is poorly designed and hard to read. I am looking at research papers for my projects and find the single-spaced Times New Roman formatting hard to read so this would be helpful.

   I attach examples of browser reading mode before and after below (page was designed badly intentionally but I needed an example).

10. Issue with copy-paste option in multiple languages

    With the new version of Acrobat, the copy-paste process between a PDF document and other text field, doesn't work properly. The special characters (i.e. French accents like é è à) don't show up anymore when we copy-paste without formatting. I spent three hours with the technical support and they finally said: "this is normal with the new version". The copy-paste process works like this now"...

12. Acrobat does not release memory, resulting in "Error out of memory"

    Search in Acrobat causes unbounded increases in memory usage.

    Observed result: each search allocates additional memory and that memory remains allocate until I close the file in which the search was run or close and re-start Acrobat.

    Expected result: after a search is closed, the memory allocation returns to what it was before the search ran.

    Expected result: each successive search does NOT result in additional memory being allocated.

    Expected result: when files are closed, all memory allocated by acrobat should be released.

    Expected result: Acrobat should not produce an "Out of memory" error at any time when the amount of memory used by Acrobat and the opened files starts at well below 1 GB.

    I noticed that Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (V 22.001.20169) and prior versions give "out of memory" errors upon reaching about 3 to 3.5 GB of memory, even though my OS still indicates over 16 GB Free.

    When I close Acrobat and re-start + open files from prior session, the memory usage is much lower. Today, it opened at 404.5 MB.

    I found that each time I searched for a word, the memory usage increased.
    After one search: 438 MB
    After 2 searches: 457 MB
    After 3 searches: 460 MB
    After 4 searches: 467 MB
    After 5 searches: 472 MB

    Close the search pop-up: 474 MB
    Close the .pdf in which I was searching: 464 MB
    Close re-open the .pdf in which I was searching, close Acrobat, start acrobat and open files from last session: 431 MB.

    Windows 10 HOme
    OS BUILD: 19044.1826

14. Acrobat Activation Doesn't Recognize Computer After Reboot

    After rebooting my PC, Adobe Acrobat prompts me to sign in and does not recognize the device. I have to sign out from the PC I am using and sign in to the same PC.

    Since I am using the same PC, I should not have to sign in, sign out, and sign in.

15. After "Finished searching the document" popup Find becomes bugged

    1. Search for a word in a document
    2. Go to next until the last word is reached and the popup appears
    3. Exit the popup
    4. Press next 3 times, the search will loop back around to the start
    5. Then press previous until you get all the way back to the 4th reference of the word in the document.
    6. If you try to press previous again, it will say no more references have been found, even though according to the top number still says there are 3 more words one can go back to

    This works for any number, not just 3.
    Somehow when the search loops back from the last reference to the first, the number next to find is de-synced from your actual position in the document, leading to a visual bug.

16. floating dialog to edit highlighted text doesnt pop in read mode

    In adobe reader, in normal mode if i highlight a text and later if i hover cursor on highlighted text, a floating tool bar pop up to edit highligting.

    That highlighting tool bar doesnt pop-up in reader mode. I see it as problem as i mostly read the document and highlight important text.

20. Copy and Paste Bookmark List to Plain Text

    it's frustrating to 'see' the list of Bookmarks that I cannot export or copy into plain text. I need to search each of those items in our image database and I'm forced to do them one-by-one. Why can't I just copy/paste? I can 'see' exactly what I need, but I can't copy it and use it in a timely manner. One-by-one is AWFUL.
