De-duplication of pages within a file
It would be really helpful to have a feature that locates duplicate and near-duplicate pages within a file and enables you to delete the duplicate pages. Having the option to ignore bates labels and other items during the search for duplicates would be nice as well.

Horrendously Ridiculous Gawdawful New Design
Your new design is Horrendous. I can't find anything. Why do you shuffle everything around and hide all the most useful tools so no one can find them. Do you delight in making your users crazy? Not to mention terribly inefficient - it takes me 5 times longer to create and edit a document and even then it's not how I want it to appear. I often have to just save and move the file to my old PC and work off my old Adobe Acrobat (in no time it turns out just how I want it!!). Who on earth…

Paste with formatting
Ability to copy content containing formatting like bold and italics, and be able to paste WITH formatting into a PDF.

New Tool Design
Hi,
the new design (at this date: 02.01.2026) makes it very difficult for me to distinguish between the individual functions.
With the help of the colored tools, I could immediately see which function was behind which design. Now without the colors everything looks the same. There are simply too many tools to remember all the differences in the icons.3 votes -
Request for Optional OCR Prompt and Improved Performance When Using the Edit Tool in Acrobat
Dear Adobe Team,
I would like to raise a concern regarding the way Acrobat currently handles scanned sheet music when the Edit tool is selected.
At present, the software automatically performs a full-page scan and applies OCR, which results in the image being divided into multiple fragments. Unfortunately, these fragments are often slightly displaced from their original positions, making the score unusable.
This behaviour is problematic for users who work with scanned musical scores or other documents where precise visual alignment is essential. I kindly suggest that Acrobat be improved in one of the following ways:

Using CTRL + SHIFT + F to Find and Replace Across Multiple PDF Files in a Folder
It would be super awesome if you could use CTRL + Shift + F feature to find and replace words or phrases on multiple PDF's in the same folder. I'm having to go into 400 documents to revise the same thing over and over and it would be nice if it could just be done automatically. Maybe combine it with AI to tell the user that something wont look right with the change and provide examples of what the user would like it to look like. In recent versions of Acrobat, highlight annotations no longer have rounded corners. They used to be rounded and were much easier to read. P
Please add an option to choose rounded or sharp corners for highlight annotations.

The ability to search and replace the font of specific text thru the entire document would help speed my workflow tremendously.
Find a particular text string and replace the font of that text wherever it finds it in the document. I have to manually select and change every instance of a particular set of medical codes, because when printed the capital "i" looks like a lowercase "L" so scanners misread it. When the document is 90-100 pages this would be much faster if it had this feature like Microsoft Word does.

File names are not completely readable
Allow the entire file name to be visible somewhere on screen. Used to have it above the document frame...now it just ISN'T.

Thumbnail Selection Too Difficult - Extraction Issue
When using the side panel for thumbnails, clicking anywhere on the thumbnail is like a soft select, you have to click the little box or else if you scroll the document your selection disappears. if you select anywhere else on the thumbnail, it's also very difficult to see what is selected.
Then when you drag the selection to extract, it unselects the page you dragged it from so when you want to delete the selected pages after you extracted them, that page is left hanging around.

There are so many card games with small rule twists that create a whole new feel. Some add side decisions, others change how hands are ranked. allow me to highlight text
Simply allow me to actually highlight the text I drag my mouse over. Stop telling me what you think I really want highlighted and just let me highlight what I, the person paying for this program and "dumber than AI" want highlighted on my file.

Improve scan/converting to editable document -- identify lines and boxes
I scan documents using a copier/printer/scanner. Often, I am scanning forms that include underlined spaces for someone's signature, or text that is surrounded by a box. When I use Adobe Pro "edit" to convert them from images to editable text, the conversion never recognizes the lines as discrete objects. Instead, they are lumped with the background as one large, page-sized image. This means I can't delete the nearly-white background without losing signature and other blank, lined spaces or boxes around text.

Enough with the popup menus!
Adobe PLEASE! Stop the menu popups everytime we click on an element when editing PDFs! Let us do that if we need to by right click. It disturbs our workflow especially when resizing an image it blocks the corners when resizing. Put all menus on the side by default, don't float it, don't make it appear when clicked. It is annoying like a popup ad. If you like those, we don't. So just make it optional and can be checked in the settings or preferences.
Again, please don't make a menu popup when clicking an element in PDF editing mode.…

can't paste text into comment window
Cannot paste text into Comment field as of 10/25/25. I used to be able to paste text into the Comment field. I tried switching back to the classic Acrobat (disable New Acrobat) an restarted my computer, but that did not fix the problem.

Enough with the Annoying Pop-Ups !!!
When attempting to manipulate text within a document an annoying "helpful" pop-up menu keeps getting in the way. Like an eager puppy bouncing at your feet, it constantly pesters; Want to generate an image? Want image ideas? How about copying with formatting? Huh, huh! Get the "F" out of my face! If it's possible to turn it off, I haven't figured out how. I just want to do my work. Put those pop-up options in a tool bar that I can call up if I need it, and quit slowing me down!
