  1. Turn off AI Assistant. There are hundreds of requests from other users and we still continue to be ignored. We don't want it and the disable feature DOESN'T WORK!!!

  2. Disabling the AI assistant is actually what you should do. Even though I've disabled the AI assistant in the settings, I continue to receive pop-ups asking me to summarize the documents I'm trying to read. In addition to blocking the content I'm trying to read, these pop-ups make the basic program less usable, such as when it comes to scrolling, Chill Guy Clicker. Additionally, when the assistant is disabled, the small chat bar at the bottom shouldn't be there. For heaven's sake, please make this right. AI is not necessary for everything. I'll use Chat GPT if I need…

  5. There will be no time ever in which I will open a document in Acrobat Pro and want an AI summary rather than reading it. The entire point of opening is to read it, not your guess of what it says. I do not want this feature, I do not want it popping up and offering me ****** AI "tools" I don't need it and it slows me down to actually have to click past it to get my work done.

    Please disable all this AI slop by default.

  6. Create an update option without AI Assistant. Don’t make us remove it: many of us don’t trust having it on there in the first place.

  7. I very intentionally do not have "Enable generative AI features in Acrobat" checked in my Preferences. For security reasons, I can't use AI in my work, nor do I want to. This appears to be the only place I can indicate my choice not to use Adobe's AI features.

    However, I still have:
    1) a pop-up pushing AI every time I open Adobe;
    2) a bright flashy button at the top of my screen pushing AI;
    3) now when I highlight a word the popup with editing tools ALSO includes an "ask AI assistant" option.

    This is incredibly distracting when…

  8. In my line of work, I look at a lot of technical drawings in PDF form. The incessant popups suggesting I summarize my pdf of a drawing are so annoying. In fact, I don't ever want to use AI on my work as it is against company policy. I sometimes regret downloading this program, and I will be looking for an alternative soon.

  9. I think we can all agree that your AI pop-up is the most annoying and useless "feature" on Adobe. As you can see, several cases have been opened against it, and ALL the cases have been upvoted. How much longer til y'all actually get rid of it? Since we're talking about annoying pop-ups, can you also find a way to disable the pop up when I copy text? I just need to copy some quick data into another spreadsheet and every time I select the text I have your stupid pop-up to Generate an Image, Simplify, Define, or Ask your…

  10. I understand your developers are probably incredibly excited about new and exciting generative AI, but they need to calm down - just adding it for the sake sexying up your software is utterly pointless. It adds no value. The descriptions of "person sitting in a white dress" (when it's quite obviously that) is distracting and quite creepy. Restraint goes quite far. Forcing features on us that we didn't need because you decided in some meeting that something new was needed to avoid boredom isn't appreciated.

  11. We need the ability to disable AI with the click of a button. Opening a new document doesn't require some AI bothering me 3 different ways. If the moment I open a document your program bothers me with something I'm already hating your program. It was fine 10 years ago. Don't shove AI down our throats like a ****** does with a *****.

  12. Please pay attention to those of who are asking to have the AI feature stop intruding into our work. Actions (in this case inaction) speak louder than words, and you are telling me very clearly to stop using adobe, because you insist on imposing "AI" on me at every step. Given the demonstrated problems with hallucinations in AI, your are offering is a threat, not a bonus.

  15. Remove AI

    That stupid button taking up so much screen real estate for a feature I will never use. I hope someone feels some shame for promoting this trash, which, worse than being useless, is intended to make human cognition itself dependent on silicon valley products. If people want this so badly, why not let them select it from a suite of services for a premium instead of forcing it on every single user of your product? Worse than useless, zero functionality, aesthetically unappealing, takes up valuable space on my screen. Try making worthwhile products again instead of coming up…

  16. It is deeply problematic that Adobe keeps popping up intrusive AI panes and prompts even after AI is completely disabled in settings. I will seriously consider alternative PDF apps if you can't take a hint -- many of us DON'T WANT THIS INTRUSION OR DISRUPTION!!

  19. Disable Generative AI. Aside from the disruptive UX/UI aspect of how Gen AI is being pushed onto users, there is also the fact that a number of your users (myself included) are literally not allowed to use Gen AI in our work. Furthermore, surely Adobe is aware that there are a number of use cases where PDFs very often represent the most sensitive, private and/or confidential documents that people use and work with. Think court documents, legal and contractual agreements, government documents. As a result the last thing users in these contexts want is the sense that Adobe is foisting…

  20. The AI features are garbage and no-one asked for them. They are intrusive, in the way, slow down the app, and I have not found a single use for them in the many hours I spend on the app. Even though I have deselected the AI popups, they still keep coming up. Either remove AI completely, or give us the option to disable it (and actually do it!).
