Create Expandable Text Field Forms
Adobe Acrobat Pro needs to have the ability to create expandable text field forms that allow the text box to expand when the user types similar to what you can do with Livecycle.
This is a feature that has been requested a lot online. Currently Acrobat Pro only allows multi-line text field forms with a scroll bar, but you cannot create an expanding text field form that increases in the height of the text field to accomodate more text.
The functionality to create this even in Livecycle is too clunky and complicated to use.

commentedyes please, my company would like this functionality but wont pay for the extra license to use Experience Manager to include this functionality in our pdfs. This seems to be a huge oversight in Adobe's business planning - your suite of applications has become too fragmented and yet too dependent on each other.

commented+1 I absolutely need this for status reporting, and different project managers may have different volume of updates to give depending on individual situations. I have just requested a licence for Adobe Acrobat Pro in order to do this, so shocked to hear it cannot.

commentedI am converting all of my fillable forms from Word to Adobe Acrobat. This is mind boggling that Acrobat cannot do this. It seems pretty basic. Ughhhhhh!

commentedIt is stupid that they don't already have this capability. Maybe there is a freeware option out there... Adobe is getting lazy and perhaps this is a good time for a little healthy competition.

commentedJohn, how did you get this to work in Livecycle. I have a form that is 5 pages of various tables with numerous fields that need to be able to expand. Using livecycle I was able to get the field to expand but it wouldn't shift the information to the next page at all no matter what I did. What's the secret to this.

commentedAbsolutely a must have. I have had to go back to Livecycle for the majority of my forms because of this problem.

commentedVery much agree with this. My issue is mainly due to forms where the print version needs to include all the content, without having the text being cut and/or small unreadable font. Creating a form through Adobe is much easier and user friendly than AEM Forms (where this is possible). I just need this one thing in Adobe Acrobat Pro to be able to switch from MS Word forms to Adobe forms. Meanwhile I have to continue to use Word to create forms.

commentedI agree with what Brad suggested. Text boxes in forms that expand as you type -- and stay expanded, and print as such -- are very much needed. Why should any of us need LCD (or any other program) just to achieve this one function. If Adobe software coders can go to the trouble of changing where I find tools as well as changing the layout and design -- all of that being unnecessary and does nothing but cause immense irritation to me and others -- then they certainly have the time to add this needed feature to Adobe Pro.

commentedDefinitely a must have! I'm currently using MS Word for the forms that do need it but some users don't have access to Word and I would really like to see Adobe sort this one out.
