Reopen PDFs Launched in previous sessions on Opening Acrobat/Reader
A Prereference in Acrobat should be there which loads the last session of opened tabs/pdfs on relaunching. Also could provide options to save/load previous sessions.
This may be Important to the users who work on several pdfs at a time but wish to retain the opened docs in the next Acrobat session.
Also Session could be managed to retain even after machine restart and then launching acrobat.

We have the same issue. Continuous popup - every time the user enters reader DC, Annoying.

I thought I might add that I have never seen the pop-up window others have mentioned. I use Windows 10 so that might be the reason. I don't know.

Is there any way to disable this feature? It is opening that window asking if you want to restore your last session intermittently no matter how you close adobe. It is an annoyance to users of mine who open and close adobe 100s of times per day and they have to stop and click to close that little blue window every time they open a new invoice or other adobe document.
Thanks,
Tim Potteiger

If you wanted to make it simple for some users to re-open last session files, that's fine, but before implementation, try field testing first. Users like myself rarely need to use this feature, and the pop-up "Re-open closed PDF's..." every time I open Acrobat is super annoying, and it doesn't even work. If I click on the "Restore" button, the message goes away without restoring my last session. Why??? Can you please eliminate this pop-up or can I revert to the previous version?

how do I keep this message from coming up all the time, don't need this in my way

This is also affecting me (2019.012.20034) - despite closing Acrobat properly, the "Restore previous files" notification often appears. It's not always.
I very rarely actually want to do this, so an option to turn it off would be very welcome. That way, everyone can get the experience that they want.

Ayush. I do have that version you listed but I still get the Reopen closed PDFs box. How do we remove this??

I am having the same issue as Phill and Debbie. This is driving me nuts because the notification covers a number that I need to see in the upper right corner. As Phill said, this is EVERY time I open a PDF. PLEASE give us a way to turn this off.

Users in our organization are experiencing the exact same issue as Debbie when opening PDFs from our document software. Also, when the user clicks "Restore" on the "Reopen closed PDFs" notification, it just errors out because the document no longer exists in the same location as when it was first opened. We need a way to turn off this notification. It comes up EVERY time Adobe Reader DC is opened.

We have a software that scans invoices and indexes them using Adobe Reader DC. We took this update and now every time the software closes the PDF it gives a message that it was closed abruptly and do you want to restore. We have to close the message down to continue. Is there a way to turn this off??

restoring automatically is most needed right now.

It didn't work! The only tabs which restored were the ones for the files saved on my computer. The tabs for the files I downloaded were not restored at all. I hope you can fix this!

Thanks for the heads up. I actually got notified from AR yesterday and the software got updated with the latest release.
I was anxious to try out this new function and it worked for me. Wished I had it long ago.
It’s not exactly what I was picturing, i.e. an option the user could toggle on or off (in Preferences) to have documents from the previous session automatically opened, but just being able to it even do it manually is good !!
Thanks -

It doesn't reopen by default, we have to click on re-open PDF's from previous session option from File menu, which is good enough .
Just asking if there is a way to enable it by default.

I heard from unconfirmed source that adobe acrobat is not capable to do this never ever due to their existing code algorithm causes lots of problems when they have tried to bring this future in their tests and requires maybe years and years utilization. Although it is unconfirmed and so maybe unreliable, I started to believe that it is true over years and years asking by users.
