3d connexion 3d mouse useability of zoom feature
In previous versions of Adobe Acrobat / reader you could use a 3d mouse (3dconnexion) to zoom and navigate a document. This is very helpful on larger drawing type documents where you want to move around and zoom in. I noticed that the 3d mouse does work to scroll up and down a text type document. Are there any plans to integrate zoom and pan features?

Choose View > Zoom > Pan & Zoom, or click the Pan & Zoom tool in the Select and Zoom toolbar.
Do any of the following:
1.Drag the handles of the box in the Pan & Zoom window to change the document magnification.
2.Drag the center of the box to pan across the area you want to see.
3.Click the navigation buttons to move to a different page.
4.Enter a value in the zoom text box, or click the plus or minus buttons to increase or decrease the magnification by preset levels.

Hello,
Using a 3D mouse with smooth zoom control makes working in slicer software like Orca, Creality, or Bambu Studio much easier. It helps users navigate complex models, adjust settings with precision, and improves the overall workflow. For anyone comparing slicers, having this kind of hardware support really enhances the printing experience. https://orcaslicer.pro/orca-vs-bambu-studio-vs-creality/ -

I’ve used a 3Dconnexion mouse for a while, mostly with CAD and larger technical PDFs. In older versions of Acrobat, zoom and pan with the 3D mouse worked seamlessly, which made navigating large drawings much smoother. Lately, it seems limited to scrolling only, which really slows things down on complex layouts. It would be great if Adobe reintroduced full 3D mouse support. For anyone who works with detailed 3D files, platforms like https://www.gambody.com/ offer STL models optimized for printing, often based on game assets. These models, especially intricate ones like aircrafts or vehicles, really benefit from smooth zoom and navigation when you're prepping print views. Until Adobe adds support again, it may help to use alternate PDF viewers or pair the 3D mouse with CAD software when reviewing models. Hopefully Adobe addresses this in a future update—it’s a niche, but very useful feature.

Will this ever be fixed? Since upgrading from Adobe Reader to Adobe Standard, the SpaceMouse Enterprise will not control the Pan and Zoom of a 2D PDF. This functionality is CRITICAL to reviewing and marking large scale drawings while working in CAD.

It feels like this issue has been going on for years. Some of my computers with adobe and 3dconnexion work together - others don't. it is very frustrating to not be able to pan and zoom in a .pdf with my left hand 3D mouse.

When working with large engineering prints the ability to move and zoom with a 3D mouse is a very desirable feature.
