Save Downloaded File in Any Location
Now when you download a file from the web and have Acrobat installed as the default handler, it automatically downloads the file on Windows to C:\Downloads, not to the actual configured downloads folder, which might be on another drive or in a different location. Acrobat should have a configuration which A) allows you to configure a default location, or B) Asks everytime, defaulting to the last, where to save the file.
The amount of time spent Saving-As then deleting the originally downloaded file is stupid.l Just let us put the file where we want it from the start.
All browsers have this capability. Word works this way. Pretty much everything except Acrobat works this way.
So the workflow now is:
1) download file
2) open in acrobat
3) save-as to the correct folder {with the correct name if appropriate}
4) delete the original downloaded file from the download location
Workflow could be:
1) Download the file, asking where to save, and the name to save
2) Open the file

Hi,
Thanks for Reaching out to us for your Queries.
I think the capabilities of Saving any file to the local machine from browser is Taken care by the browser itself.For an instance consider Google chrome browser, Under Settings it has some capabilities like changing the default download location , "Ask where to Save each file before downloading" , Open Certain files automatically after downloading and so on.
I Request you to kindly check for these browser options and check if that solves any of your concern.
If that did not help either, i would request you to kindly share a screen capture video of the exact workflow that you are doing while trying to save pdfs with browser so that we can check it further. you can share youe screen recorded video at ajain@adobe.com
Thanks
