mailto links not working in Acrobat DC 2017 (2017.012.20098)

Export PDF from InDesign CC 2017 containing email addresses, hyperlinks included.
MacOS X 10.12, InDesign CC 2017, Acrobat DC 2017.
Normally invokes Mail when mailto links are clicked.
Now mailto links display correct popup but do not action when clicked, cursor changes to text insert bar when hovering over mailto link.

I created my document in Acrobat DC 2017 and I cannot get the e-mail hyperlink function to work. I tried mailto: and it didn't fix the problem. Please advise. Thanks.
