revert "Save As" dialogue
Acrobat DC's Save As dialogue is horrible. Why does this product need to differentiate from a typical Save As--even from the rest of Adobe's products? I want to immediately be able to choose Desktop or Documents or whatever, and not have to click an additional "Choose a Different Folder..." button, just because my save location does not appear in the recent short list.

The Acrobat DC's Save As dialogue experience can indeed be frustrating. It's arcane why the product differentiates itself from other Adobe products' user-friendly Save As feature. Clicking Choose a Different Folder... feels undue and time-consuming, especially for users who frequently save documents to specific locations. As someone who relies on an online assignment service for academic tasks, efficiency is paramount, and this design fault hinders productivity. A seamless process to directly select common destinations like Desktop or Documents would significantly enhance the user experience.

Agree the the 'Save As" is bad. Recent file list is to short, need additional clicks and the window which finally opens where I can save is far to small. For an expensive product the UI is miserable.

Completely agree. The new overlay is awful.

another "time saver" that actually impacts real work flows. Should be off by default. There is no clue as to where to turn it off, ...obviously I found my way here googling and via https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Save-in-Acrobat-Pro-DC-Can-I-skip-the-Save-in-Recent-Folder-option-q279870.aspx

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to us for your concerns.I would like to let you know that you can disabled Custom SaveAs dialog for Acrobat and see the Native Operating System dialog using the below steps
1) Go to Preferences (Ctrl+E)
2) go to General
3) uncheck the checkbox for "Show online storage when saving files"
4) Try to SaveAs any PDF
Now you'll be able to see the native OS dialog for SaveAs.Let me know if that solves your concern
Thanks

Yes, having the two save windows is extra clicks and a waste of time. Just take me directly to the second screen.

Instead of one step to choose the folder to save in FOLLOWED by a save command... can you combine these two screens so I can save as... and choose the folder on the same screen as the save button. This is a tremendous time sink.
