Paper Capture Recognition service experienced an error
Yesterday I purchased 1 year subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro and since installation I am unable to edit PDFs due to the following pop-up error message:
"Unable to process the page because the Paper Capture recognition service experienced an error. (6)".
I have searched all over the internet for its solution but could not find one. This is really frustrating, bought an annual subscription and still not able to edit PDFs. I feel that I have wasted my money in buying the subscription.
Issue resolved at customer end.

WOW adobe is so BUGGY, this problem still is exists May 2021, Nimisha's solution still has to be implemented on the latest, but it does fix.
problem was resolved by copying the following .dll files available on the path
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture\iDRS15
idrsarabic15.dll, idrsasia15.dll, etc. (Total 9 nos. .dll files) and pasting the 9 .dll files to path C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins (i.e. in the plug_ins folder). This resolved my problem. -

I posted several days ago that the Nimisha Sharma fix worked for me. Well, it worked for about a week, then I started getting the same error again. I went back to the Acrobat user forums, and found a similar fix. Copy the same 9 .dll files as in the Nishima Sharma fix, and paste them here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\<Acrobat Version>\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture
That fixed the problem for me today. For how long? We'll see.
COME ON ADOBE, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS FOR NEARLY THREE YEARS. JUST FIX IT.

The "Page Capture recognition service doesn't work" message, isn't the only message.
Is that something that is included in ADOBE PRO I am paying you money. One way to solve the problem, bc I don't know that DLL files are, I don't care to know, and I have very bad lucking getting someone to answer the phone. (Of course, someday they will tell me why I pay for 4 licenses and have to sign out of one of the four computers), \My advice to ADOBE is PROVIDE SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE INSTEAD OF THE SUCK ASS SERVICE YOU ARE NOW PROVIDING. -

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 and I regularly get the error that was posted (above), namely, "Unable to process the page because the Paper Capture recognition service experienced an error. (6)".
The suggested solution re copying 9 dll files did not solve the issue. Any other help please?

I am using Acrobat DC Pro on Windows 10 and it was occurring on all the documents since I purchased the subscription. After several remote sessions with the Adobe chat support, this problem was resolved by copying the following .dll files available on the path
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture\iDRS15
idrsarabic15.dll, idrsasia15.dll, etc. (Total 9 nos. .dll files) and pasting the 9 .dll files to path C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\plug_ins (i.e. in the plug_ins folder)
This did not correct the issue, what would be the next best step ? Should I uninstall and resinstal acrobat DC? Please advise -

The solution listed by Nimisha (Jan 10 2018 post below, also quoted by Nodir) solved my problem.
To support: I experienced this error when I tried to edit a PDF which I had created (using Adobe) by converting a JPEG. The document in question contained both English and Arabic.
