create custom scanning tools not working in Version 2018.011.20035
My Adobe Acrobat DC updated overnight and now my custom scanning tools do not work. Previously I had a custom tool I named scanning with two shortcuts. One for black and white scan, and another for custom scan which I set up to scan both sides. After the update, my scanning tool and shortcuts were there, but they don't work. I tried to recreate, but I cannot scan anything without going to file > create > PDF from scanner, which then brings up enhanced scans. The Black & White tool in the Create Custom Tool does not work. Seems like this is a basic, but key feature of Adobe, to create a document from scanning, and it takes way too many clicks to even get this started, much less create a shortcut that should always be there in the toolbar when you open Adobe, like it was in XI.

My Adobe Acrobat Pro DC updated again last night, and I tried to recreate my custom Tools for scanning as in previous comment again and the "Create scanned PDF from Black & White document" shortcut still does not work. Any ideas/updates? It's very frustrating that this basic tool does not work and I have to roll back to the previous version.

I tried to recreate it again like I did in the previous version, and the black and white scanning shortcut does not work, only the custom scan. To create it, I go to Tools>Customize>Create Custom Tool>Create PDF>select Black & White and Custom Scan>Save and name Scanning. When I click on the icon to "Create scanned PDF from Black & White document", nothing happens. When I click on the icon to "Create scanned PDF using custom scanner settings", it brings up Enhance Scans, which I can select from there and I can scan, but I want/need shortcuts for both so I don't have to click 10 times to start a scan. My work around now is to uninstall and reinstall the old version. I'm having to do this every week when it updates.
