Customize keyboard shortcuts
Like ALL other pro Adobe apps we use, please give users the ability to customize keyboard shortcuts! Thank you.

I am also shocked to see this issue marked as resolved. It is not resolved. A decision has been taken to reject the suggestion and no explanation is provided.
In practical terms, for users with a variety of movement/motor-control challenges, using a mouse is substantially harder than using a keyboard. Also, when a user has a decent ergonomic keyboard, mouse-clicks are more likely to contribute to RSIs.
In terms of design philosophy, I have yet to hear a good reason for the increasingly widespread practice of reducing or eliminating customization options. It is as if companies like Adobe and Microsoft want to eliminate the possibility of becoming what we used to call a 'power user.' So many products are no longer designed with a serious production user in mind and are instead built with the nonsense notion of 'intuitive user interfaces' justifying all manner of bad choices and change for change's sake.
Use case from my work: I frequently need to remove sections of PDF files. I work on a very large display. Why should I need to move a mouse a long way to click something when I could just press a key combo to open the Organize Pages tool?

It's 2024 and we still can't customize keyboard shortcuts on Acrobat like all Adobe apps!

Or for making shortcuts more in-line with how almost every other piece of software works:
Ctrl + Z = Undo, no problems there
Ctrl + Y = Redo for all MS applications and most other S/W applicationsCtrl + B = convert this highlighted text to BOLD, but in Acrobat, it creates a bookmark.

> [Rachit Jain] I would ask you all you provide me suggestion for some areas and/or operations where you would require this feature.
Hello,
Shortcuts would be useful to me for the following operations:
• selecting the rectangle tool;
• selecting the polyline tool;
• selecting the legend tool;
• adding a note to selected text;
• opening the commenting tools panel;
• jumping to the next annotation when one annotation is selected in the commenting tools panel;
• setting each possible status for a comment;
• clicking the “@” button in a comment;
• running various custom scripts. -

OK, here's an example. I use the Rectangle a lot. There's a keyboard shortcut (shift + D) to cycle thru Cloud, Arrow, Line, Rectangle, Oval, Polygon Line, Polygon, Pencil Tool, Eraser Tool. By the time I hit shift+D that many times, I could've mouse-clicked on the button already. I just want to quickly access the Rectangle, which I could do with a custom keyboard shortcut.

Does 'resolved' signify that it's being ignored and you're just killing the request?

I second Kelly's question--how was this resolved? Why don't resolved tags have a link to what the solution is? Not helpful in the least.

I completely agree to the fact that we should have a way to customize keyboard shortcuts for Acrobat Pro DC to make it a Pro software. :)

I would like to be able to assign a keyboard shortcut to the function "exporting data from multiple forms." I have an Excel file that pulls multiple PDFs into a single workbook, and I've managed to automate this and having a shortcut to reference in the VBA code would help immensely.
Foxit Software has this option, and Adobe did previously, so please bring it back in an update ASAP.

It would be incredibly useful to be able to set keyboard shortcuts for the "Set Status: None, Accepted, Completed, Cancelled, and Rejected" commenting tools.

Any features really... It is possible to make shortcuts to so many things in the other apps.
I use Acrobat for working with Accessibility so I specifically need it when I mark up the reading order (Mark the area - mouse click on type of text in the Accessibility box - I need to be able to have a short cut for type of text.
It could be many other areas, depending on what you work with - especially where one has to repeat the same gesture again and again.
