Export measurement markup to excel incorrectly
I use Acrobat Pro DC 2018.011.20040 version to do take-off quantity and when I export to csv file (use right click when you're in measure distance mode). It looks like all the numbers are shown incorrectly. Have anyone known how to fix or had the same problem? Cheers

Do not use SNAP TYPES before you take the measurement. That's the only way I was able to get exported measurements to export and match. Nothing else worked.
For some reason dimensions pick something up from the drawing when using SNAP TYPES. what's funny is that the incorrect measurement that appear in the exported CSV file have nothing to do with the preset drawing dimensions. Reason I know is because I created the drawing in Acad and printed to PDF as a test. The only way to dodge all sorts of issues is to ask the drawing author to flatten the Acad file before printing to PDF.

This is still an issue in 2023. I've figured out that it seems to only happen when you work with a PDF that already has an inherent Scale set for the drawing.
If I use measurement tool to draw up a square for area, after I've set the scale & ratio of the drawing to 1 mm = 0.1 m for example, I get a weird answer that I can see is not in m².
To bypass this, I go to Edit - Preference - Measuring (2D) and UNTICK the "Use Scale and Units from Document (when present)".
After doing this, the markups on the PDF then appear correctly, showing me the results of the area I'm marking up in the correct m² units I require.
But when I then Export the measurement markup to Excel, it reverts to the previous problematic settings (which I believe is because this drawing already contains scale and units).
Hope this helps in debugging the issue.
Any tips of how to bypass this?Is there a way to access a drawing's inherent scale and units and somehow overwrite it?

I am having the same problem. The exported values don't seem to be related to the markup values.

I have the same exact problem! After doing a google search it seems as if there are a LOT of people with this problem.
Akanksha Garg- I know you replied to this almost two years ago, but I will answer your question if you are still listening:
After measuring and marking up a site plan in 2D, right click, then click "Export measurement markup to Excel". Then when you open the Excel file, all of the measurements are wrong. I'm sure it has something to do with the export scale settings not matching the scale settings on the drawing, but I can't find anywhere to change the settings.

good morning, I too have the same problem.
on numerous occasions a line that is measured as 10m will be exported to .csv file as 50m (for example).
Clearly this is a reoccurring issue and if it cannot be rectified, i will be moving across to Blue Beam.

To whom it may concern
When I do measuring on PDF and you want to convert and save those measurements into excel spreadsheet. You can do this by right click mouse (while you still in measuring mode) it will pop up a box with a few lists, there you pick on 'Export measurement markup to excel..' this will allow you to save file as .csv file whereever you want. Once you done that you can use that save file (in .csv) to do whatever you want. But the problem I have found was those numbers aren't correct numbers for e.g. measuring widths using drawing scale (1:50) then convert to .csv the result was:
Measurements on drawing (figure show in .csv file)
width 0.6004m (12.01m)
length 1.7934m (35.87m)Happy to discuss further if you require either through email or phone. Cheers
